Have visited this temple during my Odisha tour and it was a memorable one.. Many mysteries to be unfolded. The art and culture of Odisha has developed around the Jagannath temple and Konark temple and had also got many Carnatic influences due to the control of rulers from South. But very gracefully the Odias adapted these influences and stood up beautifully as an original in their art and have preserved it till date. Jay Jagannath! ❤

When Narsimha Deva ordered 1200 laborers to build the temple , they worked hard for 12 years, but they were unable to establish the third magnet. That's when Dharmpad came into play, he established the third magnet and sacrificed his life by drowning himself in Chandrabhaga, this story is full of bravery of a very young boy which shows how brave Indians are

Hi, Odia girl here. Thank you for covering Konark temple. Odisha is full of many such beautiful temples, that were destroyed by Kala Pahada. You will see beautiful stone temples and sculptures but their faces destroyed by him. Secondly the 12 Year old boy Dharmapada. Completion of Konarka temple took 12 years, by 1200 craftsman under chief craftsman Bishu Maharana. But even after several tries they were not able to put the Mundi(Top of the temple). Everytime the Mundi broke. So Dharmapada, constructed this temple top in single night. But if the word were to spread all the 1200 craftsman would've been killed by the king for their incompetence in front of a small kid. So Dharmapada jumped from the same river to Chandrabhaga Nadi and sacrified his life to save those men. ❤❤🙏

1:42 A minor fact check, Saambh was tricked by Narada Muni so that Shri Krishna would give him this curse. Kyunki Saambh natkhat thhe, woh gopiton ke sang nadi mein snaan karne gaye thhe. Yeh baat Narad ji ne Shri Krishna ko bata di. Yeh jaankar ki unka putra uske maa saman ki ayu ki ladkiyon ke saath raaslila kar rahe hai, unko yeh shraap mila. The British found the temple in Ruins ; The original temple half gone , the temple today is standing still because they did some restoration and decided to fill sand inside cause it's inside was not in a good shape . They felt the rocks were gonna fall sooner or later . So to support this masterpiece they filled it's insides with sand .

Information is little incorrect, as I am from Odisha I know the story. I was also working on the same story and posted it. 1. Sri Krishna cursed as Sambh was tricked by Narad 2. No Sambh didn't make Sun temple. Multan Sun temple was in Pakisthan 3. Dharmapad didn't put idol but the Kalasa of the temple of the top of temple. He didn't know about any magnets. It is very famous story in odisha. 4. In Kalapahad story, Lord Jagannath was hidden under sand by daitapatis not the sun god idol.

But as far as I know the destroyer of Konark Sun Temple was actually King of Mysore Tipu Sultan, the son of king Hyder Ali. Tipu Sultan was also known as Kala Pahad😊 Sanjay Khan started to make a serial on the life of Tipu Sultan, but during shooting, its set caught caught fire, some 11 or 12 unit members died due to the fire on the set. Sanjay Khan himself had more than 70℅ burn injuries on his body but survived, after recovery Sanjay Khan made a film on Hanuman ji, "Hanuman Vijay".Both father and son that is Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan fought against Britishers. It was Tipu sultan who first of all used Rockets in warfare.

The story of Krishna has been around historical date suggesting 1000 BCE. However, popular tradition claims that the Kurukshetra war marks the transition to the Kali Yuga, dating it to c. 3102 BCE, so Krishna will be around that time. The Konark temple was built around 1250 CE. Means 2000 or 4000 years later. So this story does not hold.
