I don’t know about “deserve” when it comes to relationships because it puts an unfair onus on one party as if they owe it to the other because they’re just such a great person. Leaving that aside, Steve and Debbie were best for each other, she was an actually interesting character who Steve really liked and was willing to improve himself for. She could have been as much of a mainstay in the show as Jeff. But apparently they preferred to keep Steve in his status quo of socially inept, perverted loser who never learns or grows from his many failed attempts to get girls, so a character like Debbie in his life would just be impossible. I gotta side with Steve here sure he is immature but he's also a teenager. Between his parents Haley and the sex offender in the attic Steve could be worse. Debbie isn't really more mature than Steve either sure she isn't into the same low brow humor as Steve but her emotional maturity is suspect. She is very fickle and once she saw a flaw in Steve she didn't like she bailed without trying to talk about or even try and help Steve with what bothers her. She jumps into a relationship with atton (I probably spelled that wrong) based on his outward appearance of maturity but once she saw his flaws she bailed there too. In the end all it would have taken is a serious talk about what she wanted out of the relationship and for him to do the same but she never even entertained the idea. Once again I will say their both teenagers and they haven't fully matured yet but this is also the time where their core personalities are developing and if she doesn't change her approach to men and their flaws she will be alone.

@@HeatherQuinn-Psykhae Sorry for such a late reply! It’s also used against native alaskans commonly on the street, i’m native and live in Alaska and i see it used at mostly homeless people or drug addict since there’s such a ramped alcohol and drug problem within native communities up here. It is unfortunately true that Debbie and Steve would never last (shame I had a little crush on her) Steve is a product of a lot of negative stereotypes and being written as such Steve is constantly projected as a “good person” doing no harm to anyone but the fact is he’s honestly a piece of work This is a fault of the writers obviously writing him as whatever the story needs him to be but in universe he’s still a Smith (Let that sink in), and it has been proven that Stan Smith is canonically a terrible person on a genetic level and Francine’s definitely not better either so he inherited a lot of bad traits including emotional instability, overdramatized personality, high libido, obsessiveness, and most importantly the Smith family inflated Ego which is a huge impact on everything they do

Christianity sprouted in Jewish communities in the Roman empire, and we were told we didn't have to abide by ancient Hebrew traditions, holidays, and birthday rituals, but the majority of the Christian communities essentially forgot these transitions existed after a few thousand years, and I guess I wish we made them more well known to children in Christian homes, cause of how important they were in our history. She mistakes Etan's sophistication and vocabulary for actual maturity. And to top it off, she's fickle af. She immediately tries to start talking to Steve again after she breaks up with Etan. They're both children who are growing up and learning. I think their breakup was good for them, and i don't think that either one "deserved" or "didn't deserve" the other. Admittedly, i would really like to see a future episode where they can, maybe, have a future together. I did think they were cute together, after all.

NOT in good health by far.. also Debbie just seems thicc not even big much less ugly like how Stan tries to act like. Edit: sidenote having just now put two and two together The prior refferences about Garfield makes Lasagna coem to mind thus the realization of why you probably no doubt used the word. Also fun fact there [going back to the not quite so far back as civil war otself but within 17 years or 20 of the surrender and fall of the confederacy.. there once was a [US] president so a potus for short...named that is right., *Garfield*.. 2nd potus to ACTUALLY have been fully assasinated vs the 17 potuses that somebody along the line has come an tried to assasinate starting with number 7 Andrew Jackson being by two individuals attacked.. the 2nd person tried but both firearms did not do whatever so they just.. well tbh idk but I think it is called jamming or was a dud bullet or whatever.. and so he just got after turning around from hearing the attempt 1 of 2 by the 2nd time in his life though by a different individual than preior so not the crazy lady but some dude tried attacking him.. merely got closer and beat him with his cane lol.. and iirc it is said others ALSO started beating the person as well. Also because of the fact that Debbie brought said Lasagna up. Additional fun fact 21:11 yesterday I found out last night cats are not mouth breathers so only briefly boop the nosies because of thsi fact, and even found out out of sudden concern of the idea.. they can and freuqently get stuffy noses.. yet unlike me manage to either cope or flat out right.. refuse to let it be a thing that drives them nuts from it being a nuisance to have a stuffy nose... and to try to breath using said stuffy nose... kind of an interestign skill not going to lie.
