Did Stock Brokers Jump off Buildings during the 1929 Stock Market Crash?

Күн бұрын

When the economy slowed down and then suddenly collapsed, so did the stock market. First in London, then dramatically in New York. This triggered the so-called Great Depression, which was a world financial slump that lasted in most countries for around a decade, until the start of World War II.
Did investors and stock brokers who had lost it all leap off of buildings during the 1929 Stock Market Crash?

Really where are investors putting their cash? Isn’t it crazy how mortgage rates continue to rise with higher imports and declining exports, but the FED is yet to lessen cost. Something will eventually break if they keep raising interest rates and quantitative tightening.

I concur with your comment, personally I've avoided drawbacks of uncertain times by simply following guidance from a reputable advisor, and have been able to increase my savings by at least 300% since late 2019, just before rona out-break, summing up nearly $1m after subsequent investments to date. I'm semi-retd now, and only work 7.5 hours weekly.

It all depends on the knowledge and strategies employed, but I've seen people make seven-figure profits in declining markets just as easily as they do in rising ones. There is no denying that some people have benefited significantly from the recession and crisis.

Because of this, I make an effort to consult a financial coach before making any investing decisions. When the pandemic started, I've been trading with one since their entire business model revolves around trading long and short at the same time, implementing profit-driven strategies and lowering risk as a hedge against inescapable downtrends. Additionally, because they have access to insider information and analysis, it is practically impossible for them to do poorly. I earned more than $1.5 million after nearly three years of training with a coach.

What bothers me about this situation is the fact that the news and media are all going about a recession which is understandable due to the war and pandemic but still the same media still publish articles about folks in the same economy pulling off hefty 6figure profit(Averg. 200k in barely 8weeks) in this downtrend how is that possible?

I, briefly, worked for a sub-prime lender in 2006. After the final, complete collapse in 2008, a woman I worked with was pulling into a parking structure when another woman, who had jumped from the 6th floor of the parking structure, landed immediately in front of her car and died instantly. My former co-worker had the presence of mind to hit her brakes to avoid hitting the person who jumped but was severely traumatized by the incident.

Market crashes are perfect times for the super rich to consolidate more wealth and power. They buy up all the cheap stocks from desperate sellers of competitor businesses or ones that show potential. Then as the market stabilizes and grows again so does their wealth. They also strengthen their monopoly over their invested markets.
