I joined the Army in 1971 and encountered a few of these fellows in Basic Training, by the time I went to AIT (Advanced Individual Training) Artillery, most had been filtered into the 11B10 (Light Weapons Infantry). Later, as an RTO (Radio-Telephone Operator) on a Forward Observer Team, I was attached to Infantry units and again encountered some of the really low IQ types.
