I LOVE the Isaac Okoro deal! Very glad we got him back. Was getting nervous there for a bit........ We are still missing a couple of key positions and we need to figure it out!

Jb stunted his growth. Okoro was a slasher to the basket at auburn. If Atkinson can bring that back out of okoro the contract is a steal.

The day he was shoved into the corner offensively out of position to cater to DG JA high p&r obsession , his days in CLE were numbered. He just got paid barely enough to make him tradeable later

he can slash but he has to change his game and improve as a shooter there is no way he can be a 1st option ahead of DM or DG. Derrick White is a PG in San Antonio but change his game when came to the celtics because he is a role player same as okoro

unpopular opinion, find a new home for Caris, getting out of the tax apron just for this season just extends the problem till next year, we're gonna have to make some future moves anyways to stay afloat so this would go a lot longer for us, he's on an expiring contract and I don't believe we can afford to bring him back anyways.

No. Obviously they underpaid. Without the new CBA and the apron rules he would be getting 16, maybe more.
@mspeedm5849Ай бұрын
Maybe if they didn't pay DG and Mobley "hope for the future" contracts, they would have had enough to pay Okoro to keep him past this contract. He is underpaid, by comparison to what DG or Evan got in relation to what they have shown. They are worth more than him as is, but nowhere near worth their current pay level. So is Okoro overpaid? That is unreasonable to consider.

Dan gilbert spent his whole life throwing money at things, and the minute he has to actually use his brain i.e. to build an nba team and organization he FAILS miserably. He’s a failure, and we have the worst owner and front-office in the entire league. …That’s all that you need to know, Mikey boy. Go write it down.

The question doesn't address the issue. The Cavs rebuilt to make the playoffs but not to win a title. In a small market, Cavs rebuilt to sell tickets and merch, and they probably will. Little guards, no defense. Okoro plays D, but can't shoot the three. Skinny bigs who can't space the floor. Weak bench. It's a core that can win in the regular season, but not in the playoffs.

No defense 😂. Have you missed the past 2 yrs
@JamesWalker-ky5yrАй бұрын
@@dennisclanton5342 better if you explain what you mean. Garland plays no D. Mitchell is lazy on D and too short to cover big twos. Offensively, it's usually a trade off between Mitchell and Garland, one rests while the other playmakes. You can make the case that Allen and Mobley play good D, good regular season D, but they have big weaknesses in the playoffs, when it matters, but I was referring to backcourt D.

@@JamesWalker-ky5yr the cavs has number 1 defence year 2022 so guards no defence is a stretch I think DG and D Mitch are trying on defence

@@johnpatricksoltes5459 the two small guard lineup didn't work in Utah and it won't win a title in CLE. I thought they might've traded Garland and Allen since they signed the other two. Teams like Pacers, Knicks and Magic will pass them by this year. Mitchell can play some D, but he gets tired hogging the ball. A lot of ifs with the Cavs, if Mobley can learn to shoot, if Okoro could only shoot, if Garland can get his head out of his, if Allen could quit getting pushed around in the playoffs, if Altman will finally get the boot.

@@10ktae nope, sorry, son. The Cavs were already better than the Knicks last year, and now they're way better. Losing Heart was more impactful than gaining Bridges. Robinson is out until January, and you dont have a center better than 3rd string quality. Additionally, OG and Bridges are basically the same player, and last time that happened, OG complained about touches and playing time, and then asked for a trade. He will again. You sacrificed your future to lose what made you good and create redundancies. And those redundancies are intended to take on the Celtics, but the problem is that you can't use a pair of T2 wings to outplay a pair of T1 wings. Oops... bad news for casual Knicks fans.
