It's on day four where it states that He made the stars also. This would include planets because of the earthly perspective.

The firmament is real. There is no expansion of space. Genesis 1 says the sun moon and stars are all IN the firmament. Firmament in Latin = solid thing.

7 Days of the creation was from the reality of God perspective without existing universe no time existing. After universe created and finished started time counting. And universe was old like Adam and lights from stars shined already on Earth. From our perspective it take time equal time for light to travel from stars million years equal day nomber four in Gods realms that out of our universe. But the countdown in out reality and in Bible was from finishing the creation. Like every programist do.
