AC I am also unvaccinated serving in the Michigan Air National Guard. I filed my religious exemption in December of 2021. I didn’t hear anything back for several months. Honestly I wasn’t pushing it because I knew there were lawsuits and congress working at the time to end the mandate so I was keeping my head down and hoping that the slow speed of the government functions was working in my favor for once and buying time. The whole time the guys in my unit were telling me it was pointless and not going to matter because they were denying everyone, but I had faith! Then in JULY of 2022 I received my denial letter, and it was a cookie cutter response for sure. At which point I had 3 options, get jabbed, get discharged, or appeal. They told me the appeal process only takes 1 week to get a response and they were going to deny it anyway. Again I had faith, so I submitted the appeal paperwork….. within that final week the federal injunction kicked in and they couldn’t force the mandate upon me while it was in place. The appeal came back denied but it was unenforceable. I then rode that injunction until of course the mandate was lifted. There are those that say there isn’t a God, but let me tell you, the God I worship just protected me from Uncle Sam!

I’m here with you. I was held for 8 month, not allowed around other people, not allowed to even leave part of the base, and treated as if I was some type of murderer. We had people who wanted to physically hurt us and we had people outright deny our needs just because we were unvaccinated. I ended up passing out and getting a concussion because I didn’t eat for days prior and the two days following that I didn’t eat as well except for two pieces of bread toward the end of the second day. The Navy didn’t give me any medical treatment for my concussion except take my blood and that was the last I heard from them in that situation. There wasn’t a day that went by where medical, legal, or the chapel wouldn’t call us murders, evil, or cuss at us. There was even a master Chief who told us our religion didn’t matter and we didn’t have any rights. It got to the point where one of us went to captains mast for sitting on a rack during liberty hours and that person lost rank, got put in restriction, and lost their pay. A few months after that they tried to separate them because they had a NJP on record and that was their entire argument. I finally got to leave that command and go on to training. I was not received well and was immediately treated as if I was lower than everyone else who was there. It only took a month or so but they phase stripped me for months and refused to tell me why and they started a case on me and refused to tell me for what. My room was searched everyday, I wasn’t allowed any privileges (unlike everyone else in my training group), and my commands legal department was trying to charge me with two article 92’s and an article 107 for reasons they still refuse to say. The most I got after have a retired Captain try to pry information out of them along with me trying to get information out of my boss is that they were building a case saying I wasn’t getting Covid tested. They’re “proof” is a page that’s left out all day without dates on it. I tied to pry information out of legal for the months preceding this to know what I should be doing and they refused to tell me all of it. This being said I was getting tested every week and the situation surrounding this case seemed very off to me. I ended up winning because not only did the legal department not tell me the reason behind the case but I also didn’t have anything in writing telling me to get Covid tested or do anything due to my vaccination status. Part of my class and I wrote stating that the way they handled having unvaccinated sailors on this base was wrong, I shouldn’t have to live in fear that at any moment my room will be searched or I’ll be charged with some made up charge especially when living on a military base. The following day my bosses boss (the reason I was phase one for months) walked in and told us that we don’t know what we’re talking about and to “get fucked”. That ended only a few months ago but the whole story from start to finish was from 01OCT21 to around the start of December 2022. All I got to say is I’m glad it’s over now.

My story is far less extreme however it has still caused much heartache over the last year and a half. My commander was vehemently opposed to me submitting a religious exemption. I had to fight just to be able to get instructions on how to file it. After mine was denied I was given several letters of reprimand because I did not follow my commanders order for vaccination. After several of those I received an article 15 and was demoted. Because of that demotion I was not able to afford my car and my studio apartment so I had to sell my car significantly below its value and buy a piece of s*** truck from the '90s just to be able to pay the rent. I had to more or less get on my hands and knees and beg that they not remove my pay like what was stated in my article 15. It said in that document that they would remove $1,400 from my pay every month for 6 months which would have made it impossible for me to live in the area that I'm stationed. After several weeks I was finally informed that they wouldn't be docking my pay just demoting me. Over the past year I racked up nearly $10,000 in credit card debt just to be able to survive. Now they tell me that my rank will be restored and I'll get roughly $5,000 in back pay. Like that's supposed to correct all the wrongs that were done to me. I suffered immense stress and loneliness due to my ostracization from the people in my unit. I have no friends at work anymore and every day I go in and sit next to the very people who stab me in the back and have to act like I'm happy to be there. I have a year and a half left in my enlistment and every day is torture. If I could find a lawyer that would take my case I'd sue the absolute pants off of the commander that punished me, not to make some sort of financial gain but to ensure that he is held accountable for the pain and suffering he caused. Stay strong man, hopefully some justice will be given to us

I then got to watch as it got worse, from all Branches, including my beloved Corp. I also saw something that is a catastrophic problem. And something I'd never ever thought could occur, the almost unanimous loss of confidence of the Officer Corp from the Enlisted. And I cannot understand how any staff Officer can justify not immediately resigning for that utter dereliction of duty on their watch. If you held the rank of Col. And above during this time, you have no sense of what it means to be an officer, much less a U.S. Officer. In my sincerest opinion. I was one of the people kicked out of the Navy last year for the vaccine mandate. At first, they told us that we had religious rights and to submit our package for religious exemption. We jumped through the hoops and did all that they asked even though the things we needed changed every week. It came to a point when they gave us a day that we were getting kicked out, I was a lucky one that actually got separated. Other service members of mine weren't so lucky. They didn't get to pick their next orders because we were told that we were getting separated; so they went needs of the Navy and got placed on shitty bases that they didn't even choose. I will never recommend anyone to join the Navy or maybe even the military in general due to my experience.

Every other branch told me I could have done virtually any of their jobs and if the Navy wasn’t being retarded on purpose I should have had any of the three jobs I wanted they just purposely tried to screw me to fill the need for MMS. Which id realized that sooner and just didn’t sign the contract. Thankfully after getting Covid a second time and getting onto a ventilator for a while I ended out medically discharged before the mandate would really effect me.

I’m grateful for this video you’ve posted AC. About 5 years in the ARNG, I was preparing to fill a slot for BLC late 2020/early 2021. Then the mandate came out. Entire career was put on hold, I was hoping to make a 20+ year career out of this. All of the men in my unit who refused and gave exemptions have not been told anything of our situation. They won’t send us to any schools, no promotions etc. (even after removal of the mandate). I had a great squad leader and even better friend just get out because of how the DOD handled this situation, the lack of concern of welfare of soldiers, amongst other reasons. Our 1SG told him the Army had his back. Nothing could be further from the truth unless you side with them on any and everything. That man was brought to tears as he walked out of the building. I’m not here for sympathy, brownie points or recognition. I’m just grateful someone’s feeling the same way I know alot of us are.

I'm glad my time in the Corps came to an end in 2015. I learned early on during my service that nothing about it was a brotherhood except for those close brothers/friends you made that you were with every day through your whole enlistment. I'd see SNCO's burn you at the drop of a dime if it meant they'd get some type of praise or advancement or to simply see a junior Marine get screwed. Furthermore, I couldn't imagine having to deal with all this coov BS. Just dealing with the regular shit at the VA is painfully brutal. As a civilian I've never gotten the jab, and I'm a healthy 38-year-old. Luckily when I was employed in California my boss wasn't having any of that "mandate" BS implemented at the gym I worked at. It's sad to see how many service members have been and will be affected by all this, not to mention all the other shit to deal with. Keep your heads up brothers and sisters and reach out to someone if you're thinking about ending it. There's plenty of people out there willing to help including myself. Semper Fi.

The corps have always been that way, I enlisted back in 1988, and anyone above CPL was basically a buddy F'er that would burn you. That was in 3/1 FMF both in security forces Philippines and FMF. I was so relieved when EAS into civilan world! I loved the Marine Corps, but the leadership is rotting to the core! The officers were the worst! The best of the Marine Corps never reenlist, and that is the sad part! I know so many Marines that would have stayed in and made a career of it, but their advancement in rank was blocked by petty, self-serving, corrupt leaders who only cared about advancement off of burning good Marines!

Our recruiters knew my friend and I didn’t want the vaccine and was going to see if there was anything he could do about us not getting it. Time passed. They didn’t have to be recruiters anymore and they left, then we got new recruiters. They pretty much told us if we weren’t to get vaccinated, we might as well not even join. @oliviersavard8676 Жыл бұрын
the point that most of you people don't understand is that you can still catch it, it's not an iron dome or some shit. it's just like every other vaccine. what makes the difference is that it reduces the gravity of the disease because your antibodies get to know what they are fighting. it works the same way as catching it (when you get chickenpox as a kid you can't get it again, or you can get it again but at a much, much lower scale), except you don't have to go through all the symptoms. it drastically lowers your chances of having serious complications afterwards and it also helps not dying. It's like wearing a seatbelt. Wearing your seatbelt won't make you never have crashes or never get hurt in a crash, but it greatly helps your chances of survival. The way you people talk, I'd expect y'all to see seatbelts as the antichrist or something

I think the issue was with how they advertised it. They made it seem like it was going to keep you from ever getting it and that if you didn’t get it, you would die. I’ve never seen a single military member cry about getting a flu shot, so the only real difference is how it was marketed.

None of the officers in charge wanted to hear that, they were just “following orders” like another military in the historical past.

I was black mailed into getting the shot. I was young and scared, so I caved in two and half hours later. I had a blood clot on the left side of my brain, leading to a stroke at 24. I recently got my claim back for my stroke (I was in uniform while on drill orders). I got the claim back, and it said it was denied with the words "not service related."

Gee. I wonder why the Armed Enforcers don’t have enough volunteers.

How long after you got out of service did you file your claim?
