Great video, especially liked island exploring by drone. The music could be a little softer, relative to the volume of voices/engine noises but otherwise easy to watch, thank you very much!

Awesome video mate, looks like a fun time! Planning on doing it in November this year. What's the go with camping? Can you just pull up anywhere along the beach and roll the swag out?
@Campingdownunder2 жыл бұрын
We actually just pulled up & camped but it was before the national park. If you enter the national park you are supposed to book a site www.parks.sa.gov.au/parks/canunda-national-park

Hey mate i like your old Hilux i have got the same as you i got Ln106 diesel and i am sure you got diesel as well just want to know your modifications for example if it is turbo or not and how much you have lifted youre hilux. Thanks mate also please keep uploading more videos of mud and sand dunes please. Thanks agian
@Campingdownunder3 жыл бұрын
Hey mate yeah it's a Ln106 turbo diesel. Suspension is just the heaviest suspension old man emu made. I wanted it to handle all the weight I carry. Didn't care about how big the lift was

It was fitted before I bought the car so I don't know much about it sorry. The only thing I was told was it was out of a surf along with the exhaust
@damolux33882 жыл бұрын
Hit RC fabworks or HD automotive for a turbo.
@Blbbbb2 жыл бұрын
With all the soft sand driving how did you go for fuel usage. Do you have long range tanks fitted?
@Campingdownunder2 жыл бұрын
No unfortunately I don't. From memory we actually did really well. I think I only used not much over half a tank. Great drive 👍
@toby6213 жыл бұрын
done this trip in 2019 two days before christmas in a 1997 non turbo ford courier had the whole beach to my self did not get bogged once it was great to be there before every one chewed up the sand i have found the old non turbo diesel just power through sand easy because you havent got the power to dig them deep
@andrewelisehem68623 жыл бұрын
What's best low range or high range ?
@Campingdownunder3 жыл бұрын
Due to my car not having much power I used low range for the majority of the drive through the soft beaches & sand dunes for extra torque. Then on the firmer beaches I use high range

If there's one thing I like most about your vids its the music! Man am I sick of crap cheap sounding dance music and low energy electronic "mood music" and shit love songs. Im sure hard rock and metal isn't everyone's cup of tea but it is mine. It has proper energy to it and is a breath of fresh air these days. Im diggin your vids but just wanted to thankyou for some decent bloody music. 🤟 Edit, man ya let me down at roughly 5 mins haha. The exact crap im sick of but hey, can't win em all.

Haha cheers mate 👍 I try to pick each song to match the mood of the video. Couldn't have metal music for a scenic drone shot 🤣

always wanted to do robe to beachport but would prolly rather do that one with someone thats done it before. some things i just dont do solo, soft sand is one of them.
@Campingdownunder3 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's a scary thought being stuck all alone. I had every bit of recovery gear you could think of but didn't need anything at all. You can self recover from sand without recovery boards. Just takes practice 👍
@Bandit_SkozzaAU3 жыл бұрын
yeh sand driving is something ive never really tackled solo so the confidence just isnt there. just got a different 4b too so ive no idea what it can and cant do. only had it about 2 weeks, if that. hopefully this one will be a reliable rig tho unlike the last few utter over priced lemons.
