Judon definitely not just because of his situation and with either side essentially being on the same page. Justin Simmons was someone that the Texans missed out on; however Caserio and Meco are playing chess while the rest of the league are playing checkers.

Let’s see if they can capture the other team’s kings.

Cody, let me tell you a story. Once upon a time, Lovie Smith urged Nick to Derek Stingley, Christian Harris, and Kyle Hamilton all in the same draft. Instead, Nick traded back and allowed Baltimore to draft a pro bowler knowing Baltimore needed a safety. Sometimes, the best option is right there in front of you. You don't need to over think it or try to be the smartest guy in the room. Passing up on Sutton feels like the trading back on Kyle Hamilton and ending up with Pitre all over again. So let's not give him the benefit of the doubt too much because all of his back pockets plans came back to bite us in the rear end. The Patriots didn't allow Caserio to make roster moves for a reason.

Mans got point stoots, caserios plan b’s n seemingly late decision makin have saved him. Passing on Kyle was unexplainable, among other things, 2023-2024 draft he was locked to a certain extent fasho but have been some head scratches that seem like he’s too smart for his own good sometimes

2 months ago I would have said yes. Having seen the chops on Bullock I’m eager to see him get reps he would not get if Simmons was here. Judon would not want to come to Houston to be a backup. We just need our players to stay healthy and this will be a non issue.

Justin Simmons reminds me so much of Kevin Byard from last season. Aging safety coming off a down year who everyone hypes. Then goes to the Eagles, their hype train ramps up and then...nothing. Total non-factor and the Eagles flame out. My question to people who want Simmons desperately is how much do you want Kevin Byard?
@bobbythorton769327 күн бұрын
Thing is he isn't paid that much on a 1 year deal.
@YepNah27 күн бұрын
@@bobbythorton7693 It’s a lot when you consider there’s about $20 mil left in cap space and an $8 contract even for one year takes half of it. I’d much rather Caserio wait even if it’s right to the deadline to actually add a true top end talent.
@bobbythorton769327 күн бұрын
@@YepNah 20 million is actually looking pretty good with woods being able to get cut and all the 1-2 year contracts we have. This is more of a wait and see if caserio messed up, if our safetys suck and he is still pro bowl talent at 8 million, well then we missed out just common sense. Again we have to wait and see how good our secondary is to see if not signing was a smart move.
@YepNah27 күн бұрын
@@bobbythorton7693 We'll also have to wait and see if he's still even any good. Just like Kevin Byard. That said considering what Caserio has done trying to wait on his downfall just seems...I don't know, weird? Very agenda driven for sure.
@bobbythorton769327 күн бұрын
@@YepNah I would put money Simmons is still good, idk about pro bowl good but worth 8 million for 1 year. Jimmy Ward plays for us makes pretty much almost the same money, but doesn't play as good and is older with injuries last year.
@blackreign48722 күн бұрын
The Texans didn't miss out on Judon they only have 6 picks next year. They just signed Hunter. Why give up 3 rd pick for another pass rusher makes no sense. Also, he's due a new contract. Texans will have, according to over the cap, just 11,000,000 in cap space next year. Why make dumb move.

Nope, I'm standing pat to see what we really have. Let's see what comes down the pike at the waiver wire. Cody (Spanks), did you read the article on Espn that Mike Clay did on positional group rankings across the NFL? He ranks our offensive line 28th and our interior defensive line 29th. I do not concur one bit. He must be smoking something. Do you agree with Mr. Clays assessment?
@bobbythorton769327 күн бұрын
