I never really got into ducks. I mean, when I was younger I liked seeing ducklings with their mothers. Like when they all swim in a line. But as I got older I started to enjoy birds of prey. For instance, watching hawks and falcons go after rodents is riveting. Ducks eat crumbs you throw at them. A hawk will take your child if given the chance. But to each his own EDIT: Something tells me I misunderstood your comment

You mentioned a “weird throw” on the 1st play. When the running back blocked the end, Bo was avoiding stepping into a throw thinking the defender would’ve rolled into him so I think that’s why he didn’t move his feet. He just threw the ball. Smart Move.

I used to go to Saints games a lot with my dad and would always hope they would get far enough ahead to put you in for a series or 2. Watching you over the years, from college all the way until a couple of years ago was a joy. Thanks for the memories.

From my childhood it felt like there were so many great QBs that you would have loved to have on your team: Manning(s), Brady, Big Ben, Drew Brees, Matt Ryan, Rodgers, etc. and for awhile as these guys started to age out I thought that I would never see football like that again. But I really feel like our new age of those types of QBs are here. It really started in 2017 with Mahomes and for a few years after that it felt like there would be maybe 2 or 3 guys that could even compete with him with the right rosters. But I think this draft class has a chance to cement that new age of QBs that my kids can one day look back on and think “Man I’ll never see football like this again”

Thank you, Chase, super helpful analyzing this from a QB point of view. Especially when it comes to the order of reads, which most of us cannot see a play and know what the reads were designed to be. What I gather is that Tim Patrick seems to be the first read much of the time, on the underneath cross route. Sometimes it's Sutton, but it seems #12 Patrick is getting the most attention in this film as the #1 route look.

I’m surprised the raiders didn’t trade with the jets, who picked right before the Broncos. It was too risky for the jets probably. First, thanks for the great breakdown. Helpful to learn the different concepts being shown on both sides of the ball. Second, can we not crown him yet? The defense was pretty vanilla. Understandable for pre season. Even you said he missed reads and some that wouldve led to big plays. He played against a straight four man front. No blitz, again its pre season so understandable. Hard to make a determination on these alone. That said, hes doing what SP wants which is get the ball out ASAP. Lets see how he reads disguised defenses and pressure and hit anything beyond a first read.
@atticusfinch21825 ай бұрын
Great break down. It’s only pre-season though, so we still have no idea how Bo will hold up against a 1st team NFL defense in the regular season. I think fans are so starved for the Rookie Phenom story at QB that we’re getting ahead of ourselves. Actually that’s not entirely fair. We’re starved for ANY consistent QB success. Lots of rookies have done well in the preseason and then struggled. He’s showing some promise, yes. Footwork is still spotty and consistency there will be important. Offensive line play should be decent (hopefully) and Bo’s success will hinge a lot on that. I’m optimistic.

If he does get the day 1 start I just hope that no matter what he doesn’t get benched or flip flopped back and forth. If you are gonna make him the starter he needs to be the starter. Just like Peyton was able to do his rookie year despite throwing nfl record interceptions. Let him play and get experiences. We are already playing on house money this szn anyway since we are down like 60 million dollars cuz of Russ. Super Bowl is not realistic when you have 60 million less to spend than other teams. Make this year about Bo and getting him ready for future seasons when we do have money. And if we happen to win and do well this year despite the handcuffs then that’s just a cherry on top
@reayd9995 ай бұрын
I so agree with this. Broncos Country is terrible for giving up on a qb after two or three games. Please don't ruin his confidence before he's even played six or so games.
