DID THEY FIX AMS2???

One of the biggest issues i had with AMS2 was the drastic loss of grips in situations where it didn't really make sense. Cars feel way more planted now. #AMS2 #AUTOMOBILISTA2

I've been playing AC, ACC, iRacing, rF2 etc but never touched AMS2. Until a few weeks ago. I bought myself a Quest3 VR and AMS2 seemed to have the best VR. But man... was I pleasantly surprised by the FFB and especially the MASSIVE AMOUNT OF FUN I had playing that sim. It seems the latest updates did wonders for AMS2.

Oh hell yeah the VR is amazing. The game definitely handles it well I don't have to sacrifice much for quality and fps

It’s only fixed if you leave it on default set up. All they did is increase / close off the differentials to stop it sliding. If you want to have fast lap times you decrease / open the differential settings and it’s back to sliding equals faster. When I first drove it I had the same feelings as you, but then I put a set up in and it was back to slidey again. They have definitely improved the sliding feeling overall.

I feel you. I just gotta get my ffb set up properly for this game then I can dive back in to really catch a feel for it.

If you're trying to get world record times, you do not slide like you used to at all in most cars. Maybe slightly abuse slip angle, but it used to be fastest to literally drift the cars. If you do that now, you won't even get close to good times.

@@Burl_Hurlbutt but if the OP is right, then it's not necessarily true because it's just dependent on if you have a habit of only using the default setup which is all that's changed to remove the progressive oversteer slide that occurs from the previous default setup. And it is possible that the previous default setup (which is still possible to be used if you had a copy saved of it from before the recent change to the default setup) is in fact faster if you know how to drive it.

Bro, check the update changelogs. It's been through major physics and ffb changes over the last months. With another major update coming soon.

I haven’t played AMS 2. I’ve been hooked on Le Mans Ultimate recently. How would you rate the Endurance cars in AMS 2 against LMU?

Good question. I honestly would have to give it to LMU. But Ams2 as an overall package has a lot going for it so I would recommend picking that up. Only thing tho, the online isn't really where it should be. People primarily use it for the single play experience.

You can try the default & default + ffb setting that come with the game, i use them and find them good.

I actually tried that yesterday..Spent all day messing with settings. It's drivable but it's just not giving me what I get from LMU which sets the bar for me personally when it comes to ffb..So no matter how much I play with the settings I'll never get it to a truly acceptable level. It's at least drivable so I can start posting some ams2 on the channel. What's crazy is that the game felt better when I was on G29

@@Poncheezy i think I know what u mean..cause i had the same feeling and transition with the g27. i needed 3 days with my R5 without sleep to bring it to that point i got with the g27.. 1 week till i was as fast...so my initial thought was: wow driving with belt gear like with a dd breaks the base but its not that far from DD..it aint like they tell ..worlds! praise God i didnt spend too much on the moza setup! actually i think they just emulate something..cause in Lmu like u said the wheel feels like something completely different ...but when u go back..especially now with the 1.6.. the ffb is not worse is different! the gain in lmu is very nice! the effects are precise! ams2 the effects are spread, wild but more raw and more direct ! like with fruits still a fruit but another taste...but too be fair i wish ams2 gets a proper adjusted ffb! a works ffb! the implementation of "official" or "works" ffb would be the cherry on the cake!

I have alpha U and this game ffb is horrible . Idk why they add rpm to ffb and if you use low force it will amplify this shit vibration😂 always set off. there is way to disable the rpm but I don't find out yet
