For the fuel calculations, i found another way that for me at least seems easier: 1- find the hybrid deployment where it is neutral or recharging just a bit per lap 2- Do some laps on race pace (say i'm comfortable doing 1:35's in monza) 3- After doing a lap i feel i can do consistently, look at the fuel tab on the MFD, divide the fuel used by energy used (Basically calculating my fuel ratio) and set it on the setup page 4- Plan my race on energy use since i figured out my fuel ratio and energy use per lap I find this easier because since i'm using a deployment that is (usually) recharging the battery a bit, it means i'm taking more fuel than i need (given the fact that i'll be draining and charging the battery during the race by turning the deployment up and down just one setting) so i won't have a problem with running out of fuel, the extra fuel should't be enough to weight me down, and in some calculators i can just put 100l max fuel and use the energy used per lap instead of fuel to plan my stints
@SpaceManta_7 ай бұрын
The fuel estimator from the SimGrid even shows the amount of fuel (or energy if you put the energy values there) for the last stint

Hey Matt thanks for watching mate! The Lamborghini falls into the same group as the Cadillac/bmw/porsche. Basically any car that starts up in electric mode follows that same rule. Nice vid dude. I couldn't work out the Braking maps at all. Now it makes sense! So you wouldn't use 100% of virtual energy in the final pitstop, because that will extend your pitstop? Even if there's no more actual fuel going in?
@alexkayracing7 ай бұрын
Yes correct. If the final stint is only about 11laps, there’s no point filling 100% virtual energy because that would be the same thing as in ACC if you were to fill a fuel tank to full when there’s only 30 minutes left in the race. You’re making your pitstop unnecessarily long and costing yourself time. For example in real life WEC if you only filled 30L fuel but 100% Vitrual Energy. After the 30L of fuel is put in the car, the pit crew actually have to stand there and pretend to fill the car until their Virtual Energy bar reached 100%. It would just be a bad strategy

Even in SPA yesterday for the Weekly Race with air 16 track 24 circa, I had trouble going above 80 something. Now I'm trying to heat wet tyres in 14 air and 18 track but I can't get above 60. Less camber does a bit but still not enough heat. Thanks!

@Kuolema13376 ай бұрын
But the game doesn't allow you to add a fixed number for your last stint, you have to account for the percentage left when you pit. It's especially noticeable in Le Mans because you will waste anywhere from 1 to 6% at each stint compared to prior calculations. If I need 237% for 1h35min at Le Mans, my last stint will most likely be 50% total instead of 37%.
@alexkayracing6 ай бұрын
You can also use your mfd to see how much % you are using per lap, then just see how much race time is left in the last stint and then just multiply the amount of laps left by % used per lap. I finished my last race with 0.4 laps worth of VE left so it was fairly spot on
