This somg really reminds me of their beginnings... I discovered them in high school around 2005 or 06... The first thing I heard of theirs was "Marijuana" a mix of reggae, stoner rock and "other" 😂, they even had a female lead... Another joke on Bosnia being backward: look at all the technology from the 1980s and early 1990s. They keep on joking about a backward country with ambitions. At the end they are rescued by backward technology (the tractor) - and marijuana. This song made me crave for a BOSA cup. I hope I will get it one day. Keep on trying to understand the jokes on several levels!

Apples are used to make alcoholic drink called Rakija. Its a type of balkan brandy

"No escape from Balkans" was about them leaving the region successfully, but the region hasn't left them - no matter where they end up and how they behave, the "factory settings" are still in them, in their DNA. You can escape from the Balkan but Balkan won't escape from you. And the second song, you just reacted to, was about the other part of the people who can't even physically escape no matter what they do. So yes, these two songs could be viewed as a pair. The message is, you cannot escape. Even if you somehow manage, the Balkan is still within you - you didn't escape, you brought it with you. It is both charming and very scary... but it does result in great music :)

We make fuel also from plums, pears, apple quince and you name it we make it. After testing on mice, they're reaction was. Here kitty, kitty, kitty. We use it as moonshine, medicine, for religion purposes and to concur any language barriers . Our children are afraid of drinking regular water because they're not sure there could be rakija inside the bottle. Just tried to explain as simple as can .

You got it: Alcohol is the energy Europe runs on! Make it from potatoes or grains or any kind of fruit: maybe it is the one cultural discovery Europe has made or got from ancient societies like Egypt... From my own experience I can confirm that it helps to overcome language barriers. I only wish we would stop trying it on mice.
