We have some of those white pelicans way up here in Wisconsin. First time we saw them was in the Spring a couple of years ago. There were probably 200-300 of them in the bay of a lake we fish. Not sure why they are way over here. Guess they got lost. I really love blue crabs and miss them dearly. Might get back to Pennsylvania this Summer and go get some crabs for a boil or steam. Take care you two. Living the dream. I know you worked real hard to be where you are in life. Much respect.

Have a few questions ... looking for turtle excluder device that meets Florida regulations 2x6 ... most are 1 3/3×4 3/4 ... any information you be great ... also St John river good for crabs? ... if so, do you need fresh water license? ... thanks
@TheOldCoupleOutdoors9 ай бұрын
I got mine on eBay they call them New Jersey size 2"x6". I also made some from 9 ga galvanized wire. You need a saltwater fishing license for the St Johns River plus your traps have to be registered with FWC, it's free and you do it on line. Thanks for Watching our videos

Bad smelly chicken actually doesn’t work good. Fresh is the best. We did a test once and caught way way more with the fresh chicken. Actually we almost didn’t catch anything with the smelly bad chicken. Plus you have to worry about dangerous bacteria getting into your eyes or any cuts in your skin with the bad chicken.
@TheOldCoupleOutdoors9 ай бұрын
The chicken wasn't really rotten it just wasn't good to eat, we used some a couple of days later and did good with handlines. You're right fresh bait catches better even when using fish. We also keep hand sanitizer on the boat. Thanks for Watching our videos

don't the crabs eating the rotten chicken make their meat bad
@TheOldCoupleOutdoors9 ай бұрын
They're scavengers and they eat almost anything on the bottom like lobster probably the chicken is the cleanest food they eat besides eating each other. Even when we use fresh fish and it sits sometimes in the traps for 5 days or more it smells bad. Thanks for Watching our videos
