In this video we try on the new Synergy head dampers for the Goosky RS4. They made all the difference! The head is very tight now and the heli fly’s like it should!

Very easy! Also, got a remember everybody’s flying style is completely different and how they like their model to feel is completely different and that is the great thing about this hobby! So many options to choose from

Hello Jeff, I am so glad to see that you resolved the issue(s) with the RS4. This was my first choice because it came with the it's own flybarless unit but I still want to see a review by you of the OMP M4 before I make a decision. Off course the M4 doesn't come with a flybarless unit but if you also do a review of the Ikon setup would be most helpful to someone inexperienced like myself.🧙‍♂👍

M4 is much better designed, don't have to buy additional dampers to get it to work & the electronics included aren't restricted like the rs4. The guy from goosky edited the 385U on picture so it doesn't look like the rs4 need M4 blade.

Hello! It is flying incredible. It’s all a personal preference on how you like the model to feel and I like mine very tight and fast responding! I think the RS4 is the better option of the two but I can’t say yet until I build/fly a M4. The M4 will definitely be getting a iKon!

You don’t “need” anything for this model to fly great out of the box. Like every helicopter brand on the market, there is different head, dampeners, soft, strong, medium, as well as different blades and different Servos for set up to your personal preference. Saying the M4 (witch has only been flown by OMPs sponsored pilots) is better is not true. No one that’s not sponsored (and has to say it flys amazing) has flown one. Don’t worry! I’ll be getting one (no thanks to OMP) and giving a honest review. Me changing the head dampeners to a Harter head does not mean that the helicopter is bad or switching to Rototech blades does not mean I have to buy this or that to make it fly good. All personal preference.

Looks much better. Stock dampers should NEVER be that soft for a fbl heli. Maybe back in the flybar days, but then we go back to boom strikes all the time lol.

I think all head dampeners should be hard as well. I know some people like low head speed and soft head dampeners but like you said risk boom strikes! I remember those all to well! Lol

Hey Jeff. When you installed these did you put them in with the nipple towards the o ring or toward the blade grip?
@westhobbiesrc8051
@westhobbiesrc8051 Жыл бұрын
Hello! The lip side goes towards the O ring. I had to add a shim on each side of the grip to tighten it up more but a lot of guys didn’t have to so check when you install yours.
@zoof1
@zoof1 Жыл бұрын
@@westhobbiesrc8051 That is why I asked. I had a gap as well so I actually flipped it around and it fit perfect. Have not flown it yet. With the lip towards the oring the flat side of the damper actually fouls the inner head bearing so I am thinking that small lip goes to the outside and then there is no gap and that lip rests perfectly on the inner race. I sent a email asking Synergy so I will post when I hear back.
@zoof1
@zoof1 Жыл бұрын
Just heard from Synergy. The lip side or boss goes towards the blade grip bearing. That way there is no gap and the damper does not foul the bearing.
@westhobbiesrc8051

@@zoof1 when you put yours that way is the spacing right? I tired both ways and it was the same for me.
@zoof1
@zoof1 Жыл бұрын
@@westhobbiesrc8051 yes the spacing was perfect when installed the correct way. Makes sense since at that point the little lip does not fit inside the oring and effectively makes the damper wider so no gap. Flew mine last night and it was perfect and finally got rid of that bobbing when flying high speed.

How you fly Stunts in self leveling Mode (stability mode)?

I have Problems with Stability mode on the s1...it drifts bad and if I trim that with the App on Parameter servo Center it is stable in Stability mode and drifts heavy in normal ed mode

@westhobbiesrc8051 8 ай бұрын
@@eagleonefoxtwo2487 you will need to do a trim flight, not trimming the servos. You need the servos to be 90 degrees so I would put the trim back to where it was and not trim it in the app.

I got a set of these for mine! Real quick question, mine are flat on one side, and then have the protrusion part on the other (it’s very small) where as in the stock ones have a slightly longer protrusion and that’s the side that goes against the O rings inside the head block. Is it the same for these? And the flat side goes against the blade grips? Thanks!
@westhobbiesrc8051
@westhobbiesrc8051 Жыл бұрын
They made a huge difference! So yes the lip side goes into the Oring in the head block and flat side goes to the blade grip.

Great flying, tried mine out yesterday but i am not happy with it yet. Especially on side tictocs the tail tends to go down. Do the new dampeners have an effekt on this? What are youre fbl settings for gain and agile? Thanks for an answer!
@westhobbiesrc8051
@westhobbiesrc8051 Жыл бұрын
Thank you, does the tail go the same direction on the left and right TickTock‘s? A lot of times if your tail is dropping in a TickTock that is because you are subconsciously moving the rudder a little bit. I do it sometimes as well. My gain is stock settings but my servo horn on the tail is 15 mm from the center screw to the ball link. The new dampeners just make the head a lot more solid.
@hanswindisch
@hanswindisch Жыл бұрын
@@westhobbiesrc8051 I mostly try one side ;-), so i can't really tell. With my 700 helis the tail keeps level, that's why i thought it could be the fbl. Anyway, i'll try both sides and see if there's a difference. I ordered the new dampeners :-). Thanks for your advice!
