Big Time economy is sooooo extractive, they're not giving a lot to community and forces people to spend lots of $$$ to get NFTs that they themselves mint for 0 cost almost. They are not here to make everybody win. They could give lots of value to the community for free like many web3 project does, instead they don't give they extract. Red flags everywhere, spirit very far from our ethos, I wouldn't touch Big Time, and I say this after spending a bunch of time playing & analysing the in-game economy

I don't really like how their economy is basically just subsidized through leaderboards by minting tokens, with the team constantly changing what they want to subsidize. I'm not big on it as an investment. But I do think it's a legit fun game. If you just want to hang with friends, play a game and maybe earn some NFTs or crypto it is about as good as it gets in web3 right now. It's a few steps away from being a legit good game (give me that party finder already!). Hopefully things like PvP and better world events come soon.

@@Bulldog1205 I agree with you that the basis of the game is good, but I personally think the economy surrounding it is off. With such a good game you could do so much better ! Yet, you can't really mint NFTs as a f2p, you basically need to buy NFTs first, then spend $$$ by buying time crystal, and then after spending a bunch of time grinding you get your NFT (correct me if I'm wrong or if mechanics changed from when I checked it). The beauty of web3 imo is that games spend muuuuuuch less (no ads bc they have p2e) + they have full control on what is minted so they can easily give value first for free, or free NFTs etc .... And Big Time is not doing any of this, they are not leveraging Web3. They are only extracting imo. Even if game is legit good with very good potential. I think it's not correctly aligned with what web3 should be. Game that tend to be in a closed ecosystem with private marketplace + web2.5 oriented generally don't have that genuine web3 spirit we all want. They generally come with a web2 centralized and greedy mentality that we are running away from. In web3 everybody can win (up to the point where speculation overextend), cf Pixels is a good example of that. But even on steady mode, not everybody is winning in Big Time. Because of extraction. (I know the counter argument which is the 0 sum game, but as early as we are, a new cool game should be positive sum :) until speculation overextend )

@@Bulldog1205 They're basically web2 grifters using the web3 buzzword to extract money from dumb gamers.
