Love this one. But I do have a few issues. Which actually made me stop playing for a few months. The biggest problem I have is the season resets. I can get season rewards being trial versions. But why... Does the darned starter deck get deleted every season forcing to build a custom deck at the end of the season. That's it. That's my biggest complaint. Lack of permanent starter deck.

Came to Hive via SL, had never heart about Hive before. I still find Hive complex, sometimes confusing. I only use Hive Engine, but PeakD or something nearly never (only reading on PeakD). HBD and all this is completely new to me

Yup don't use HIVE outside Splinterlands & Hive Engine. Hope the DHF proposal fails but doubt SPL will move. Wherever EVM compatible with Uniswap/self sustaining DEX would be great. Just look at the HIVE maxis trying to convince folks it's the perfect blockchain when the industry is barely out of it's diapers and fights anyone that supports the game moving out of HIVE because of HIVE, lmao

Hive is a family to me and I love splinterlands (i came to splinterlands from Hive), I've recently won the entry ticket to Hivefest and this came from Splinterlands. ~staying tuned to see what happens next

No, I do not use HIVE beyond Splinterlands. Except for SplinterCoach -- which is directly dependent upon the existence of Splinterlands to exist.

Electroneum smartchain has super, super low gas fees and 5 second blocks with finality with a tiny burn mechanism. I'm guessing that they would be willing to sponsor a shift over to their blockchain plus they have experience moving blockchains as they just did it. They created a fully audited bridge transaction to destroy the old POW coins and recreate it on the new smartchain.

if splinterlands did just a bit to tell players about the social part of hive in the last 4 years, splinterlands players would have enough of the vote to push proposal at least half of the way, probably more. Splinterlands did over 2 billion transactions. on Solana that would be $40.000.000. on Arbitrum at current gas fees around $2.000.000. i didn't play any of the games on Arbitrum, you did. Who is paying gas fees? or is nothing actually on the chain, except maybe your assets?

Yup, I only use Hive for Splinterlands. I hope they migrate to another chain that will better suit their future growth plans. Below are my picks! Which blockchain? I think there are a few that continue to grow and dominate the industry in different ways. Solana - although weak on real utility Dapps, have a massive user base, cheap, fast, and UX is moving towards main stream adoption. Base - Strong developer community, great on-ramp to non-crypto users via Coinbase and their new account abstraction wallet capabilities Polygon - although very undervalued from a popularity standpoint & have poor tech support, they have huge grant programs ($1B grant program), great tech, CDK (L2 side chain developer kits) would save Splinterlands a ton of development time, the most interoperable of all EVMs via their new Aggelayer tech TON - fastest growing blockchain with a massive potential user base , mobile first (which I think Splinterlands should aim to be), fast and cheap. Their Telegram mini apps are web based which works out well for Splinterlands as they have recently been make big improvements on the mobile web UX.

Personally I love Hive-engine for no gas fee's. Also I don't like Immutable X. I experience scammy experiences from the Immutable X team in the past. So, I rather have a no support block chain then a block chain that will rug pull all your assets. Personally I am not worried because I am pretty confident that HIVE will support Splinterlands but Hive will ask something in return for it and MATT will work things out with them. Hive knows that Splinterlands leaving their ecosystem will hurt them financially and their will protect their money $. But I disagree with you that its good for Splinterlands to leave Hive. Gas fee prices can change over time. So, you might regret it paying thousands of dollars in gas fee's someday during the bull runs. Also moving assets around other chains takes time somethings hours. Also there are tons of delays which is not good for new player experience which also makes things more complicated overall. Basically both SPL and HIVE not working together will financially hurt both parties.

Steem-then-Hive was the first blockchain I ever used, too. Because of this, I'm very opposed to gas fees and that would be my main concern if we moved to another chain. I don't even mess with any other games because I just won't deal with gas fees. I've hated having to use ETH to mess with Runi, for example. To pay a bunch of money just to stake it seemed straight-up ridiculous. That said, I do feel like Hive may be a barrier to Splinterlands, like you've said. Hive will be foolish if they don't support this, though. I think it'll make Hive even more obscure than it already is. I used to use Hive for things outside of Splinterlands (I blogged pretty regularly), but I sold almost all of my Hive when it was between $1.50 and $2 and I don't really use it for much else now.

i like the direction they are taking, and yes it's true I use Hive just to access Splinterlands nothing else....low key want hive to deny the funding so we can move to BSC. The change might get chaotic but worth it

Vouchers should be phased out starting now. It’s holding back DEC utility which is super important to SPS supply and value. Which also impacts card values as those are the tools used to mine SPS. Get rid of Vouchers!

The Lands of Undelivered Promises. We could have easily had Voucher utility delivered through a Voucher store years ago. It never happened. But we effectively got a 5th currency (SPS, DEC, Vouchers, DEC-B, Glint) in Glint and a Glint Store instead. It’s not that Vouchers failed - it’s that the team failed Vouchers.

couldn't people that have vouchers that don't want to convert to dec-b just sell all their vouchers? if they want to stay in the SPS ecosystem, they can take those hive tokens and exchange it for DEC or SPS. I also think that since the launch of this proposal, cryptoeater has come up with some changes to the proposal including replacing the rewards for license node owners. I do agree with what you're saying: Don't kick the can down the road. Fix the problem with node owners now in the same proposal. not later.

voucher = dec b is same with gladius = merit. i play years to earn gladius and all of the sudden its value become merit.

I wish a lot of guys including Matt would understand that the game doesn’t have only players , there are also investors only we have seen a lot of moves like these going on in the game and maybe that’s the reason why everything is tanking as investors are selling due to discontent

It's actually basically the same, and they nerfed all the towers since the beta, so you have to spend a bit on cards to just get through the first few levels.
