Hi, why is it 'When were you born?' but 'when did you see it?'. Both are talking about the time of an action, aren't they?

You are correct but actually the word (born) is the past participle of the verb (bear). We use the passive voice when we ask: "When were you born" (passive voice = (be) + past participle). If we didn't use the passive voice we would say "When did your mother bear you?" But we would never say that, ever. You can think of "born" as an adjective and this might help you remember to always use (be) + born. "I was born in 1989" or "The baby will be born in December".

Thank you for the video. I have one question. I didn't understand very well. In the example that you gave in your video: When was your fiancé born, we have verb "born" and you put "was", but you explained that we shouldn’t have second verb. In this case we have 2 verbs: was and born, weren't we? Sorry, I am trying to improve my grammar.
