Young Marwan is only 19 years old. Can you imagine what his voice will be like when he hits 30?? His range now is incredible and it will be even better when he gets older. He was in Egypt, in the Sahara Desert. The other three were in the Czech Republic.

Marwan actually filmed his part in the Sahara desert because his visa got cancelled shortly before the meeting with the others (he is from Egypt and therefore needs one :/). Tomi, Peter and Bobby met in the Czech Republic and filmed their part there. I think Marwan killed this one, it's pure awesomeness. Their next video (2nd out of 4) from May the bass be with you Volume 3 drops today. Nice reaction as well! :)

There are 4 songs coming out from The Bass Gang. Marwan arranged and features in Arabian Nights, Tomi arranged and features in Be Prepared which comes out today (Friday). Peter arranged and features in Gaston and Bobby arranged and features in Friend Like Me. I believe the plan is to have new release each Friday. Peter will have his reaction coming out on Mondays. They have hinted that there will be a continuing theme among the 4 videos.

Marwan is from Egypt and his visa was rejected because he "couldn't prove that the bass gang was a legitimate business" while the others are in the Czech Republic where all four were supposed to meet in person for the first time.

That was pretty much a reflection of my reaction. I did not know the song before this video, so I didn't have the same expectations, but holy cow! These guys are so good. Can't wait for the next one.

Several of The Bass Gang can use subharmonics like Geoff Castellucci does to hit their super-low notes. I know Marwan and Bobby can, I think Tomi can, but Peter (because he spends so much time singing opera, where they aren't used) is still working on them. That super-low note that Marwan hit is (I think) a C#1 - so we're way down on the low end of a piano - go to the 3rd white key, then the black key just to its right is a C#1.

Yeah the Bass Gang is crazy, easily one of my favorite groups. Some others from the group and them as solo artists would be “hey little songbird” by Bobby Bass, “grim grinning ghosts” by Marwan, “Lullaby of Woe” by Tomi P, etc.

Marwan is in the Sahara in Egypt. The others are in tte Czech Republic. Marwan can go very low for a teenager. It will be very interesting to see how much lower he will go in his 30s. .

The Bass gang is great. They did a collaboration with Tim Foust of HomeFree for the song “ Hooked on a feeling “. It’s great. You gotta check it out. If you like bass these are the guys to go to. They all have a lot of range . Marwan and Bobby Bass have ridiculously low bass drops

Love this and they have released a new cover of Be Prepared this morning. The Bass Gang, Peter Barber, Bobby Bass, Tomi P, and Marwan Ayman. What a voice and he is only 19 years old. Peter, Tomi, and Bobby are in the Bruno Czech Republic and Marwan is in Egyup. The voice for The Cave Of Wonders is Tomi.

The fact that they kept calling the Cave of Wonders voice “Optimus Prime” made me laugh. They were sort of close: the original voice for the Cave of Wonders was Frank Welker, the voice of Megatron (and a host of others, including Fred from Scooby-Doo). I think the Cave of Wonders here may have been Bobby Bass.

I sung bass in my high school choir 1965-69. I was a short (5'6") and skinny (My weight at graduation was about 110lbs). I never even thought what the effect of such a shrimp as me singing bass would be to others looking on until I watched a MTV video in the 80's of a really young bass singer - I think it was Chris Issac. His face just did not fit the profile of the tall rugged Johnny Cash style bass singer, and I thought 'did others look at me that way when they watched me sing?"
