The flagship Warner Show has moved from Peterborough in 2024 to a new location at the Newark Showground, here’s a look at our 4 nights at the event in our own style, the stalls the entertainment and the corny jokes…. Did we enjoy it? Was it as good as Peterborough? Let us know your thoughts on what you thought if you went too!
Hi We're Rick, Heather & our dog Poppy and we travel the U.K in our S&L Apollo camper van “Athena”
We film the places we visit as our own diary, these videos are meant as a little memento for us but we're happy to share them with you if you want to watch.
We're just an ordinary couple in our 50's filming our adventures with basic equipment so don't expect loads of flash camera action and super editing with great music.
We also film videos of work we have done on our van as well as van reviews for our reference of the next van we might buy. Occasionally there are hints & tips videos too. We do basic site and area reviews including if they’re dog friendly but they’re a guide only based on our opinions which may or may not help you make an informed decision on if you’d like the place.
We do a mix of off grid camping, pub stopovers plus real campsites too, hopefully something for everyone to enjoy!

Nice to see Vantourer back in the UK. They used to be only sold by that terrible dealer on Hayling Island but I see Oakwell sells them too now. They are essentially Hungarian built Knaus with changes in the washroom, bedroom and garage departments.

Never keep up with David 😂. We eat Lincs sausage all the time 😋. That duo seemed pretty good tbf. As of today our van is built -wahay.

We arrived Thursday on hook up, stayed till Sunday, did enjoy it ,although felt sorry for some of the traders, who'se pitches were flooded on Saturday , facilities were good, managed not to spend too much cash

Yeah we thought the same, some stalls were underwater at times! We went to Brownhills on the Monday as they were doing 20% off, stuff we wanted worked out cheaper than the stuff at the show cheers for watching

Ska band was nt to bad, not my thing though, but not bad i suppose for what they did. Was lovely to see you both at the show. It looked like it was only you guys who were enjoying yourselves in the entertainment 😂 oh a few got up at the end. How did it rate compared to Brownhills? The Vancouver didnt look bad, nice to see some higher specced cabs. Shame about the weather, looked much nicer with the blue skies on Sunday. Pleased you had a nice weekend. Yeah we really enjoyed the entertainment but we always have fun with Graham and Michelle (drink related?) 🤣 Brownhills events are still fun we do miss them! Too many vans to film as you saw yourself (still got to watch yours) cheers mate see you soon 👍

Our first one in the van and we enjoyed it thoroughly even getting soaked half the time Felt a bit sorry for the traders especially a few that got flooded out on the Saturday. But overall a bit smaller than Peterborough and a bit less organised but fine really Entertainment was generally great especially Thursday night but we have learned not to overdo it on the first night! 😃 Nice to meet you guys 👍

Looked like a good show - the band sounded great too. As for the mics, they sounded a bit muffled - I should stick to your normal set up it sounds much better.

Well we went on Sunday and the weather was kind. Given the rain over the last few days the site was reasonably dry. As for the show we were disappointed with the lack of Traders or certainly the variety of exhibitors. Too many T&C stalls for a grumpy old chap.
