8009 is Just the standard port used for casting. Same on other Google devices. Got 2 of these clocks, 2 mini's, 2 homes, 1 shield, 3 chromecast videos, 1 chromecast audio and 1 nest hub, they all use 8009 for casting. Speakergroups are using randomised ports in a much higher range (port 32129 is used for my living room speakergroups but port 42616 is used for my Lenovo clocks group)

Maurice van Trijffel do you have an idea how to access adb over WiFi?
@TomaszSliwowski4 жыл бұрын
@@SubUltraInc assuming you've got developer mode enabled for ADB it's just "adb connect :5555"
@SubUltraInc4 жыл бұрын
I don’t have options to get into the settings to enable developer mode but I will check to see if it’s available. Thank you!

how silly they blocked the abilities that it obviously is capable of... not even video streaming- but it streams security cams and KZbin music with only album art.

The one benefit of that USB outside of what you've probably done is you can use a USB ethernet adapter to do direct ethernet internet no wi-fi needed giving you a solid connection if you want to group a bunch of Google home devices together for one giant speaker.... For example using Plex amp and broadcasting it to all speakers in a group you can have it play on every single speaker in the house without delay without the sequencing without rebooting without loss of signal

Can't it work with a USB-A to A cable or wireless ADB over WiFi?
@kingzach743 жыл бұрын
You should be able to add :: plus one of the port numbers in order to get to the device through the browser. I'm going to check that right now on my smart clock.
