Since I grew up in the Lowcountry of South Carolina and have eaten some of the BEST BBQ my entire life I love sampling BBQ from other areas of the country! White Oak is what the hog should be cooked on NO GAS! At Christmas my family cooked a whole hog-vinegar/black pepper sauce! Always PORK NO BEEF!

I used to eat there twice a week. Cedar Creek Inn is right around the corner, and L'Hirondelle is a few doors down. Trevors on the Track has the music, and Bueno Bueno is right across the street from them.

My husband and I went here yesterday after spending two weeks going to 5 BBQ places and this was our top so far. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich it was huge and I got the brisket sandwich. We live in rancho Cucamonga (inland empire) and would go back in a heartbeat. They also have a mustered based BBQ sauce that is delicious with the pulled pork. Definitely recommend!

You may want to try Smo King Ribs in Garden Grove.....I think it's very good!

I've been to The SmoKING Ribs a couple times and they always hit the spot, especially if I'm craving smoked beef ribs on a weekday. I will say it seems as tho they boil the brisket before smoking it because it's tender but always missing that proper thick smoke ring pink color and flavor. I cant blame them for being efficient, but it's not the same as a low n slow method using offset smokers like Heritage BBQ!

I saw the line as you all opened up the place....so I think I'll go there first and walk it off at the mission. Wow, it looks so delicious. I think I'll check it out and bring my containers as well😊. When you guys just close your eyes and like… drop your hands and sort of “take a step back” like there’s this pause after you first taste something with a “drop it like it’s hot” gesture.. I know it’s the best you ever had! I always let out a BIG laugh when this happens. Lisa did it after the char siu..Bill normally does this more often tho. Funny stuff!

Hello Bill and Lisa, we were just there yesterday 11/6 celebrating our wedding anniversary. Food is absolutely delicious. We didn't order the pulled pork or chicken, but just about everything else you chose. Potato salad is also yummy. We waited in line about 50 minutes, but didn't mind. Again, the food was worth the price. It was a great experience.

I use to get to visit Texas a few times a year. It's been years since I been there.... I miss their Mexican food and their BBQ!! Tx bbq is the best I've ever had. Here in Wa state our bbq places dont even compare at all! This cali place looked amazing though!

Hi Bill and Lisa! At work tonight I was craving a McRib sandwich from McDonald’s…forgot about those cravings now after watching this episode. Well we know the BBQ is good if Bill dipped and got some extra sauce on the meat!😊Wow! The owner really knows his way around the BBQ, usually a place will have 1 or 2 signature cuts but to have everything on the menu be a star is spectacular!!! 😅Forget the rainy weather here, it’s only a little over an hour away from me…😂🎉…I’m half through the video…will Bill and Lisa order the bread pudding? I’ve been dying for some good barbecue especially brisket. That looks so good with that smoke ring. It’s so far away though. 😢I wish I could find a decent barbecue place in LA. The char siu looked amazing. Love real BBQ but not the prices. It's a very rare treat. I would stick with pork or brisket as I'm not a fan of smoked poultry.
