9:37 It's a small detail, but I love how Tuffnut goes from lighthearted teasing to dead serious when he realizes what the dart is. Adds a little to his character beyond being comidic relief, he does genuinely care about the dragons and is angry a hunter got in.

@@nerasomnia The Night Fury line ends with Toothless, as he's the last of his kind. The Light Fury family will continue, assuming there's male Light Furies, but now there's a family of mixed Night and Light Furies. As far as we know, once Toothless dies in the future, so will the Night Fury line.

Personally it makes all of no sense that every last one came out a mix of Black and White when majority of the hatchlings should have come out one or the other. If only one of them were black and white and another was a night fury and the other a light fury then it'd have made sense to me. Idk maybe i'm just dumb but I just personally don't think that's how that works

The light fury looks smoother, not because she is a girl, but because she has reflectable scales, which help her turn invisible. The attention to detail is astounding.

The fun fact about this series is that in the books it talks about the dragons returning to the ocean where they came from, also they are too small to ride and they never used to kill them also Astrid just doesn’t exist in the books. I find it funny how different the movie/tv series and book series is.

The ending was beautifully done, but definitely came as a surprise. It's cool to end the series w/ dragons fading into myths & legends like the real world 28:02 29:13 29:54, but I wasn't expecting it at all tbh. The films did such a great job of making them all one big family that it felt kinda wrong for them to get separated lol 23:04 26:38. Ngl, I was also expecting the Deathgrippers to be responsible for Grimmel's death in the end. As soon as he said that he was controls them w/ their own venom, I expected a scene where Hiccup frees them from his mind control & they turn on Grimmel.

19:02 it's actually really easy to teach your dog a command with a snap. For my dog, one snap means "go over there to where i point", two means "come here", and three quick snaps means "come here quickly". All you have to do at first is say the command as you snap and then just do the snap with out a verbal command from time to time. Good luck 😁

AMAZING REACTION!! I honestly didn't expect babies at the end of the movie but anyway, THEY ARE SOO CUTE. By the way, have you watched The Prince of Egypt? It's also from Dreamworks and a veeery UNDERRATED movie. It has an interesting story, even though it's based on a Biblical story (Moses) I believe everyone can enjoy it. Interesting characters (you can see the "flaws" of the protagonist and the humanity of the antagonist), STUNNING ost and songs (come on, Hans Zimmer and Stephen Schwartz?), AMAZING animation... It really shows you what a true sacrifice is. Also, for me it was somehow a movie with a hopeful tone yet veeery sad.

Ok I'm kinda confused In the first movie we see why Stoick wanted to kill the dragons, because the dragons took his wife away (seen in the second film) but in this film he wanted them to find peace. Hiccup was around a few months old when he lost his mom from the looks of it and in the second story he looks like 3-5 So why did he want to find the hidden world for them if he wanted to kill them so bad (destroy the nest I mean)????
@silverkyre

He dosnt say in so many words but i believe Stoic either wanted to find the world and destroy it or have all the dragons go back so that there will be peace. When a series builds characters and a world in a way that's so creative and entertaining, you begin to fill in the blanks of the past, in between movies, and the future. Once you do that it's like you've lived a bit in their lives and you feel more connected to them. These kinds of shows and movie series are always so good but they leave you will the most Post-Series Depression. A price to Pay for Salvation. Hence the tears.

@@Jack7. I like to think of myself an expert television & movie watcher myself too. Nice to meet another one 😌 my trick is watching 1-2 really good shows at a slight overlap and having comfort shows ready in the back when things get too intense or I need a break. Personally I do The Good Place & Baby Daddy 💫classics💫

The dragon's had to leave because no matter where they are humans won't stop hunting them and the How to train your dragon franchise is a coming of age story. We saw hiccup go from a boy to man, take on responsibility and learn to let things go.

Isnt that why they need to stick with humans? You said it yourself. No matter where they are. That’s why they need the humans to save them.

@@andreimcallister1365 The hidden world has been hidden for centuries no humans besides Hiccup and Astrid have discovered it. The dragon's will be safe there and like I said it's a coming of age story and having the dragon's leave was the final chapter to finish the story.

@@andreimcallister1365Thats not how it works. Nature survives best when man leaves significant parts of it alone.

I'm intrigued by the writer's choice that the Lightfury shouldn't be named, in order to emphasize her wild nature.

I think it's because she's not bonded with anyone. Toothless and Stormfly have names because they're bonded to Hiccup and Astrid respectively, but the Light Fury isn't.

The line "There were dragons when I was a boy" along with the rest of that monologue are actually the first lines from the first book written in 2002. The first book started with those words as a flash forward to the ending of the series, and the last words of the last book were those words too. So it was only fitting for these words to be spoken by Hiccup in the final scene of the series.

The first film came out when I was 9, watch the second one in theaters when i was 13, and the last one when I was 18... so yep my childhood progressed and reached its end with this franchise and I was a sobbing mess during that epilogue😭😭😭

OMG LITERALLY ME but no seriously, same ages for me. And I think it's the only franchise for which I went to see all the movies in theaters.
