My headcanon is that he intentionally mispronounced it because it was a typo the Dean made in the script and the Dean told him to "say every word or else". He hated the character already so he's doing malicious compliance to mess things up for the Dean.

@@joltx2911 Pretty sure it's a reference to Romeo + Juliet, the 90s movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio which is literally the play (word for word) set in gangland LA. The movie was very popular and won a bunch of awards, so Macbeth in Chicago would be the opposite of a fresh take.

i just realized, annie exposed herself by saying she was going to call the dean. jeff knew the dean couldn’t have planned this alone so annie exposed herself as the accomplice almost immediately lol

Foreshadowing: There's an amazingly obscure clue to the *real* conspiracy, when Jeff catches "Professorson" in the blanket fort and demands the latter tell him what's going on. The prof says, "I won't tell you... but I'll show you." ... Because "Show, Don't Tell" is the FIRST RULE OF THEATER and HE'S SECRETLY A THEATER PROF. Mind = Boooooom

Allison Brie's acting was great in this episode. She was Annie, but Annie was also acting, and once you see the reveal and watch back that comes through well. Alternatively, it was a version of Annie that was instead a character in an overacted conspiracy/heist movie/parody. Well done.
