Did You Know - Madam X Are Back? | Vinyl Community

Madam X were essentially a one-and-done band in the mid 1980's. While the individual members have been busy with other project (most notably Roxy Petrucci in #Vixen), the Petrucci sisters are back with the original line up from #MadamX and the album We Reserve the Right. Let's take a little brief stroll thru the band's history, including the little stint with #SebatianBach.

Welcome to my channel, I am Jeff, and this is my channel where I discuss my music loves. I have a fairly wide music genre pallet, I do mainly spend much of the time in the rock, hard rock, and melodic metal realms. You will still find me delving occasionally in classic rock, progressive rock, psychedelic rock, and contemporary jazz. While most of my material here deals with vinyl records, I do have a large compact disc collection, and I even show a bit of my real band stuff from my life as a cover band drummer. I have had that in my Amazon cart for the longest time. I absolutely love their debut and have it on vinyl and CD. One day I will pull the trigger on their last effort. Great video😃

Jeff nice video! Madam X were one of the first metal records I bought that was second or third tier metal and not the big boys. I saw their live clips in KZbin awhile back. Nice to see an all original lineup for a reunion. Good stuff!! Cheers, Jon

Can’t find the vinyl anywhere! I just found the 1st album at a flea market for $5. I was really pleasantly surprised how good it was! I think they traveled in the same circles as KIx back in the day Hammerjacks etc.

I still need the first one on vinyl. I do have the CD, but hoping to run across the vinyl. I found it a few months ago, it was $20, and I already had over $100 of records in my hands, so I left it.

Madam X????? wow, i have not heard that name in ages..... i think i might have heard one song abck in the day, but then they fade away and t¿never heard of them again until your video and they sound really good and with the original lineup too!!! I will try to listen to their stuff, but don't know if those albums are easy to get..... cheers

Ha, I feel I have done my job then. Seems lots of people have forgotten about them. I guess it is easy these days with so many bands. I was shocked to find out the guitarist had her own band call Maxine, and it was hard rocking with her singing.

Hey Jeff, that IS Sebastian both on the album, and in both videos. (High In High School and We Reserve The Right To Rock). Just so you know. It's amazing what a perm will do to your look, but just listen to the scream at the end of "h in hs". Peace

No, those videos shot from their 1984 album were with the album vocalist Bret Kaiser. He left the band later on, and was replaced for a while by John Ward, who recorded some unreleased music with them. It was after John left that Bach was brought on, and started appearing with the band around 1987. Around the same time Bach came in, Roxy left to join Vixen, and they got a new drummer, so half the band had changed at the time. But the recorded stuff was all the 1984 line up from the album.

I like both, but yeah, it was the 80's, they sounded a little cheesy like other bands. You could tell at times, they were really going for a Quiet Riot/Slade/Twisted Sister sound back then. Guess it was the selling sound.
