When getting into car and starting up , if my air con was selected and fans were set on full before turning off, all is well when I first turn car back on ... but if I try to slow fan down slightly, the fan virtually stops blowing. No matter what I do ( other than turn the car off and start again) the fan speed will not increase.. please help

2023 E Power Tekna. Currently having issues with climate control switching itself to 23 degrees and please try this in yours: Turn temperature to 20 degrees on both passenger and driver, then turn temperature on passenger side to high and then low. Any difference in fan speed? Auto turned on! Now set passenger back to 20 degrees and try the same on drivers side. On mine the fan speed only increases when the temperature is adjusted on the drivers side! The vent temperatures change, but the fan will only change with the drivers side. Is this the norm?

Thanks for the video. When you set 'auto' to 17 degrees, could it be that rather that the car not putting out the air until it could do it at that temp, the temp in the car was already at 17 degrees, so target temp had already been reached?

I have. People sell them on ebay, simple swap. Worth doing if your nav is old. I updated our 2014 to 2018 maps.

J11And i can't seem to get my door mirrors to Fold automatically when the car is locked i have to physically remember to press the door mirror button. I think my car is a little too old thats why it doesnt work automatically. Your thoughts please?

Thanks for the nice comment. yeah for some reason they forgot to add the feature to the 2014 model. you can get a module from alliexpress to make it work

hi my 2014 qashqai has an issue with AC, just regassed it, now its really cold at Low and starting to get really warm from 16 and above, 16 really feels like 23 when compared to other cars, would greatly appreciate any advise

Sounds like it needs regassing, most garages can do this. Make sure they do a leak test first in case.

If you didn't find out, you cannot.. because the analog one doesn't have some of the components the digital one has, for example the dual flaps

Hi @theqashqaiguy we have a 2014 Ticknall and have lots of electrics issues, from shipping mode to the media system just cutting out. I'm not sure if this is common. We currently have an issue with the air conditioning, it seems to have stopped heating or cooling? When a/c is off the car naturally heats up but not very well. Amy ideas why the a/c might not be working? Any common issues? Thanks Dave

My a/c fans keep working even if the clime is shut down. The fans speed is oscillating. And it cools only on 26⁰. I have no ideea why

Another question. Is it correct that the difference between having the AC on and AC off is that the first instance uses the Air Conditioning until to increase or decrease the temperture. The second instance uses the car engine heat to increase the temperture (not sure how it could decrease the temperture, I guess it can draw air from outside to do so). Any clarification would be appreciated. Thank you.

On my qashqai 2016, 16 degrees blows hot air, it's 2 degrees outside at the moment though, is it right the lowest temp (16) will blow hot air?

Great info. I notice the AC cooling shuts off and just blows hot Air sometimes even though it is set at low cooling. Have u experienced this problem?

That's the auto dimming mirror. When the green lights are on its on. The button can be used to turn it off and on. When someone is behind you at night, it'll auto dim to stop you being dazzled by their headlights.

Hi. It's an auto dimming function. So at night you'll notice it'll dim if someone is behind so that their headlights don't glare.

the first one lights up if you manually turned off the passenger airbag, the second one lights up when a person is sitting on the passenger seat (if not the airbag will not deploy, it has an weight sensor) and the last one shows you if the car is locked or not( by using the lock/unlock button on the driver side door)

Trying to understand you here. Do you mean the auto full beam? If you mean auto main beam then that's on your indicator stalk and should be the setting beyond main beam on

@@TheQashqaiGuy hi yes auto full beam (full beam is reffered to as main beam) for my situation I need to be able to override it to on without changing from auto on the stalk, inki e ruraly but there's just enough light to stop the main beam from coming on but not enough to see where I'm going as well as I'd like. But I don't want have to turn the lights from full auto either. 👍

Cool video! I just bought a 2016 Qashqai and am not sure if the air con. is working properly. Should there be ice-cold air coming through the vents? All I can feel is ordinary cold air being generated by a heater fan from the outside of the car. When using the air con., should the air re-circulation button be always selected? I noticed that the side vent's inner horizontal slots on the driver's and passenger's sides are closed, but I can't find a way to open them. The outer up/down (vertical) slots are fine. Can you please help?

It's likely that the condenser has corroded. it's a very common fault on the QQ I'm afraid

Hi. This turns the auto dimming function on and off. If you have someone behind at night, it reduces the glare from their headlights.

Should the heater buttons light up at night? . They light up with the welcoming light but not when the engine is on .

Hi bud, the stop start system only works in certain conditions. Mainly if the battery is in good condition, air con is not on and engine is at good temperature. Don't worry, it may start working again at some point.

I'm afraid 16C is the lowest regulated heat you'll get.

@@TheQashqaiGuy The only solution I can imagine is to mix very hot air from heating system (it tries to reach 16) with cold air from open windows (not very convenient, when it is freezing outside :) - the manual AC was mixing inside the heating system). Thank you for your answers!

Get them to recheck your condenser sounds like it's faulty if it's new and regassed it should be instant cold , just had mine regassed and it's instant

Never turn the A/C off ! If you leave the A/C for any amount of time, the seals will dry out and this will eventually lead to gas leaks

@@TheQashqaiGuy modern air con systems do not increase fuel consumption in the way they used to. The problems caused by leaving it off will cost you more in the long run. Just leave it on all the time.

Average increase in consumption is around 10%. Maybe modern systems are more economical, but these cars are not modern anymore. Air conditioning, especially on short journeys can cause a high increase in fuel consumption
