No, it makes even *less* sense than it did *without* the theory. It doesn’t make sense to begin with because if something happens differently due to time travel, it would create a new timeline, *REGARDLESS* of any destruction that happens next, because that didn’t happen before. The new timeline would just be the same as the old one *after* the destruction, but would still exist nonetheless. Otherwise, *NO* timeline is *EVER* created when time traveling. And *with* this theory, it makes even *less* sense because Kang writing what will happen doesn’t determine whether a new timeline is created, it just determines if the timeline follows what he wrote. Or at least, that’s how it *would* be, if you actually wanted it to make sense. But the writers of this show understand so little about time travel that they confused the concepts of alternate timelines with alternate universes, so I don’t expect anything in this show to make sense.

They explained in the next episode why this created a branch. Lokis nature is so incredibly chaotic and unpredictable, the principle of "you can do anything you want as long as it gets erased anyway" goes out the window. But not when loki is on his own oh no of course not. Because of what loki is, the connection he made with sylvie, who is also a loki and therefore shares the same nature, just boosted that pure chaos and created the biggest unfathomably unpredictable, and uncontrollable, event in the entire history of events, surpassing everything. What the two lokis were experiencing was a huge fucking anomaly in the entirety of the universe, because it was just that unexpected, not only because a loki is supposed to be alone, but because the close connection he was sharing was with another fucking loki, wich you probably guessed was also supposed to be alone. Their fate, the fate of every loki, how they are supposed to go, how they are supposed to live, all went bye bye. TL;DR A loki falling in love with another loki was so wrong even the fucking universe said no as a reflex.

They also showed him study the planet and the whole situation. Then took Sylvie somewhere safe without her knowing and the WHOLE THING was just an act to get her to open up. Instead he acted like a fool. He got drunk and was beaten by the guards on the train! A God that walked off a full beating by the hulk couldn't take a couple of security guards. They had plenty of opportunities to make him cool, cunning, and smart. They went the other way every time

Close but no cigar. There was no branch. Kang controlled the TVA through Miss Minutes.The path that Kang wrote for them was to bond. The Loki he needed had to know what it was to love, so Kang pushed them together. As soon as they held hands, it met the bare minimum of Kangs criteria, and Kang flagged them to the TVA as a branch. He didnt interfere with every little thing, but when it came to Loki, the TVA only ever saw what Kang wanted them so see.
