I thought the Electro theory is pretty solid. When Electro was giving a break down of what happened before he died, he specifically said he was "downloading data" which in turn means that somewhere in the world where his power grid was hooked up to, there is a computer that contained information that linked Spider-Man to Peter Parker. You could argue that is not enough to validate that but then again Venom has is a hivemind creature who share knowledge through multiverses. While not completely combined with with Venom as one whole being, this could still allow Eddy to subconsciously know who Peter is so all he had to do was think about it with Venom while in his system.

It's valid enough of a theory I mean technically he has heard his voice and if he downloaded say a clip of peter talking he would know that spiderman is a peter parker. It's a relatively generic name despite the alliteration so he could know he was spiderman without known what his face looked like and it would likely be closer then venom having a potential hive mind between multiverse since that would imply that now the marvel universe has 2 venoms.

Well Electro didn’t know Spider-Man was Peter Parker until The Amazing Spider-Man 2 ended almost. He knew Harry who he was teaming up with knew someone named Peter. He knew as everyone else did that Peter Parker took pictures of Spider-Man for the Daily Bugle haha. When Gwen screamed “Peter” with Electro nearby he figured out Peter Harry knew was Peter Parker, and that he was the man taking pictures of Spider-Man. Who also was Spider-Man. Electro did know Peter was Spider-Man. But he didn’t see his face. He connected the dots. Therefore he didn’t know he weren’t Black. This then raises the question on Why Harry didn’t get to be In No Way Home. He knew Peter was Spider-Man as well. This even goes for both the Raimi and Webb movies.

Electro was probably told by Osborn in AS2 off screen that Peter Parker is Spider-Man. This would've made him know that "Peter Parker is Spider-Man" without ever seeing what Peter Parker looks like. the reason of how eddie and electro got in there is because in TASM 2, harry talks to max about how peter takes photos of spider-man and blah blah blah but in the final battle, when gwen calls for peter, electro instantly realizes that its peter parker! venom got in there by venom used to be in a multiversal hivemind but him being inside of eddie, causes him to come with.
