I never knew about Rockefeller's Atlas - though i worked at or around Rockefeller Center for several years and often attended Mass at the Cathedral. My Mother - an Austrian American with roots in Bohemia - had a beautiful Statue of the Infant, for whom she sewed exquisite Robes.

My grandmother, a devout convert, treasured her Infant of Prague, changing the vestments with tne seasons of the church. This was many years ago as I am now a great grandmother. How wonderful to hear about the origins of the Infant.

Here in the Philippines, we have the same devotion to the Infant Jesus, affectionately called the Santo Niño. It is the oldest Christian image in the Philippines, originally a gift from the voyager Ferdinand Magellan to Rajah Humabon (baptized as Carlos) and his wife and chief consort, Hara Humamay (baptized as Juana) on account of their Christian baptism in 1521. The Santo Niño de Cebú was based on a vision of Teresa of Ávila, so it must be a related image to that of Prague. The 500-year-old miraculous image is enshrined at the Minor Basilica of the Santo Niño in Cebu City, Philippines.

My beloved mother was Czech and I can attest that most Czechs cherish the Infant of Prague. This love for the Infant was passed down to me. However, as the matriarch of the family, my mother passed on the love of the Infant to my children. She felt that the Infant was both a religious and cultural treasure.

I come from a very loving Italian family and each woman that was married of our family was always given a statue of the Infant of Prague as a shower gift for your bedroom dresser. It was a tradition. My Aunt would make me new outfits for it for each season. It was given for Blessings for the couple to be married.

Regarding what the statue of the Child meant for the princess Polyxena - she was the penultimate member of her family (House of Pernštejn) and her second husband was one of the last living members of the House of (Popel of) Lobkowicz. As she and her husband prayed to the Child to have a child, their prayers were answered. At the 43rd year of her life (and the 42nd of her husband's), Polyxena gave birth to her only child, a son named Václav Eusebius František, who became the Duke of Sagan, Imperial Field Marshal, President of the Grand Council and of the Privy Council, Court Grand Master and the sole progenitor of the present House of Lobkowicz. Also, Czechoslovakia is more than 30 years gone - at the beginning of 1993, it peacefully dissolved to the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

I didn't know about the story with St. Patrick's Cathedral and the Infant of Prague and the statue of Atlas at Rockefeller Plaza. What an interesting story! I passed that statue so many times in my life and never knew the Infant of Prague was eye to eye with Atlas. That old rich man, Mr. Rockefeller thought of himself much more of a god than God Himself. Well, God always wins, Good over Evil always wins. Now when I'm in that area again in N.Y.C. this story will forever be in my mind...I will say a prayer to the baby Jesus and always keep him in my heart. I'm so glad I came across this video. Could be Jesus wanted me to, and I thank Him...Thank You Jesus, Amen...✝🙏

I wanted to understand why devotion to the Infant Jesus could help in times of financial need. I was shown that when Jesus was born the three wise men. What did they bring? Gold, frankincense, and myrrh. So, when we honor His Holy Infancy He remembers us, as He was remembered so long ago. For it is an eternal honor of love and devotion to Jesus. Rockefeller loved PAGANS. He is burning now. The gold statue of Prometheus, the Greek Titan who gave fire to humanity, is located by the ice skating rink at Rockefeller Center in Manhattan. The statue is the centerpiece of the Lower Plaza and is the most photographed monumental sculpture in New York City. American sculptor Paul Manship created the sculpture, which depicts Prometheus going against the gods' wishes and giving fire to humanity.

I am a Protestant, but I grew up Catholic in the Boston area in the 1950’s and 1960’s. Both my parents and my Uncle Jim had replicas of the Infant of Prague on the top of their bureaus in their bedrooms. I remember them changing the clothes of the statue to the colors of the Liturgical Calendars. Frankly, I am extremely disappointed that Rockefeller would place an odious statue of Atlas, a Pagan image, in the direct sight of St. Patrick’s Cathedral! This is an insult to Christianity, whether Roman Catholic, Orthodox Christianity or Protestantism!

Atlas is not half-man, half-god. He’s a Titan which is the race of deities who came before the gods in Greek mythology. The symbolism with the Christ child is still great though!

At my church the Filipinos have a grand dinner for the Infant of Prague. I was raise to celebrate the Infant feast day. The Infant of Prague came from Spain, and I am Spanish. Live in California go to Church daily, Filipinos have their own click. I find that not being the body of Christ like Jesus taught. We are all one. Thank you
