Can you cast the Avet reel without the mc magnet as good as one with the mc. I am very good with casting but I mostly fish off jetty’s and want to know if I should get the Avet raptor plus hx mc or just get the hxw for more line

You will have to thumb the spool which can drastically loose distance

Depending on brand of solid braid can be anywhere from 50 to 100 yds less..

I just bought the avet hxw 5/2 raptor and I'm only getting about 450yds of 100# momoi diamond g3 hollowcore (.47mm diameter). I spooled myself but looked to do a decent job. What could be wrong? Was hoping to get 600yds on it...

You gota switch the hollow core braid to tightline to increase your line capacity

It really depends on how fast your laid the braid on the spool.. if you have a bunch of x patterns then you stacked it like pvc you can bring it in to use so we can check it and how do you know you only got 450yds
