How do you know he's an immigrant? If you say it's because of how he looks, then you've just proven why immigration enforcement scares immigrant communities. Because there is no difference, visually, between an immigrant that looks like him, vs the 2nd generation of immigrants. Making even legal immigrants who are citizens, hold Green card or a permanent resident card, less likely to report a crime to law enforcement, or cooperate as a witness, because they fear being profiled and deported. Immigrating to the USA is a privilege given or not by the American people through the American government, it’s not a right, and immigrants do not have a say about how or why that privilege should be given to every and each individual.
