Thanks for this one John. I lead singing at our local congregation and have been searching for an example of this very hymn to reference while I learn it.

Thank you so much for your channel...we are members of the Lord's church and find a capella singing hard to find when searching out a song..you have ALL these wonderful songs and will look forward to listening to them... God bless

Thank you. I enjoy sharing my music so others can enjoy it also. (as long as I have a voice) I know of several people who use it as a learning tool, and some who enjoy just listening to one of the playlists.

Friend John, thank you for another thought provoking sermon, in song today. You make singing fun to me. But sometimes I feel like saying; wait a minute what are you doing here?. Like on the chorus. And I’m not trying to take away from the message. But when you sing “ fully repent “ it seems you go up an octave higher. Or maybe not that much, but different than how I see the notes. You make it neat that way. It would be interesting to hear you record your songs.

Hopefully, to help you understand what is going on, the song starts with the melody in the soprano line (top line), In the chorus, the melody goes to the alto (lower notes on the upper staff, which I always try to sing up an octave, or actually where it should be. Since I have a male voice, there is no way I can sing the soprano in the upper register, so I am actually singing it down an octave. That's why you hear the alto line on top, although it is written below the soprano. I have made only a couple of videos that actually show me. I don't really care to be in the video, and it is a lot more work, but I may, one of these days, make a video of me putting a song together. Thank you for your continued interest.

@ okay John, that does help me understand. I listened to it about 15 times trying to catch what was happening. Guess I’m a little slow at it. Would be fun to see you singing, but I understand not wanting to be seen.
