The demo reel is stunning, as if it was taken from a Hollywood movie, are they were filmed by Mayer Optik lenses too?
@filippochiesa2014 ай бұрын
Thank you! No, the images in my demo reel were not filmed with Meyer Optik lenses.

interesting look. I like the sharpness which some might said "too sharp".
@filippochiesa201 Жыл бұрын
Thanks. They are definitely not too sharp.

@@filippochiesa201 I agreed. The current trend which I had observed, people seems to define cinematic with one particular look. This also included sharpness. I don't know why they think like that.

Ciao Filippo hai mai provato le Meyer Optik Gorlitz su canon c70?
@filippochiesa2015 ай бұрын
Ciao, non le ho mai provate sulla C70, ma non vedo controindicazioni. Rispetto alla A1, avresti solo un minore angolo di campo.

Be sure to look into the TT Artisan 100mm f/2.8 Cooke type triplet. Great lens at a great price.

Would love to see more footage taken with the 1.33 adapter on these Meyer Optiks! Have you compared to the Aivascope by any chance?

I will try them with Moment Front Anamorphic Adapter as soon as I can. I still haven't compared it with the Aivascope.

Nice video, but a bit more about why / how the new MOG Lenses can be associated with the Cooke look would help. Do they have that Cooke look and what is that Cooke look exactly?
@filippochiesa201 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment. As I said in this episode, not only the new MOG lense have the"'Cooke Look", more specifically that of the Speed Panchros, but even many of the oldest ones. All this thanks to the very famous "Cooke triplet" design. From Wikipedia: "The Cooke triplet is noted for being able to correct the Seidel aberrations.. It is recognized as one of the most important optical designs in the field of photography. The lens designed, invented by Dennis Taylor but named for the firm he worked for (Cooke), consists of three separated lens elements. It has two biconvex lenses on the outer and a biconcave lens in the middle. The design took a new approach to solving the optical design issues, and the design was presented to the Optical Society of London".

No, it's not. The writing means 'to be continued' and, when I was a child, it was very common to read this at the end of many Japanese anime episodes.
