Hey, you’re welcome I just wish companies like this (like Roku) didn’t keep changing their stuff and doing updates to lockout features. For example, I’m now missing antenna. channels because of my ZIP Code. if I disconnect the Internet, the channels come back. Why fix what’s not broken. and now it is broken. Thanks! I was looking for this video. What I had to do was checked "hide streaming channels" first. Then I rescanned my channels under the cable option, because I have a cable connection. That restored my local and antenna channels, then I went back into settings and un - checked "hide streaming channels" and now everything is back like before. I have CNN, MSNBC, Bravo and others back! Thanks so much for sharing.

You’re welcome happy to hear it worked for you. Now I’m having a new problem it’s locked out certain channels I had to resort to using a ATSC converter box I was gonna make a video in the future talking about it. Pretty cool you could still hook up a cable connection to your TV in your area. in my area. It has not been like that in about 10 years you need a cable box here and if you don’t use one, you just get one test pattern and channel now. And a couple of years ago you got a couple of music channels now you get nothing.

After I got back my OTA channels, I went back and unchecked the hide streaming channels box, now it works as it did before the loss of OTA channels ....once again... thanks 😊

This is clear as mud. Start at the home page and then you do this but first, let me tell you about the 37 other things it could be and then we will go to the antenna and make that work but there are 23 other things I want to tell you about first and THEN we will go back to the start.

Thanks !! I tried calling Roku but there was an hour and a half wait to talk to someone . This is badly designed software . The broadcast channels should be in a different icon from the streaming channels. This occurred in a new Westinghouse Roku TV in the mid Atlantic East Coast of the US

Cool thanks for letting me know and didn’t know Westinghouse made Roku TVs? I like having both of them combined especially for my family. It was just easier but now it doesn’t work. But I do like the idea of having it in two separate apps /channels, in case you don’t want to combine them. I myself personally would probably not want to combine them unless I was setting up a TV for a friend or relative or a senior citizen. They do have it separate, but you have to dig through the Roku TV channel app then you find the live channels. don’t know why they went that route like you said just have a separate input or app basically for the live IP channels And you were on hold for that long feels like contacting a Internet or cable company. Hey, you’re welcome I noticed a lot of modern day smart TVs are like this. antenna channels and IP channels together like for example LG. not sure how to turn off on LG but I’ve set up a couple of TV antennas on LG TVs for people I noticed for some people, including myself. It’s now a little bit harder to access the smart IP Roku channels, but my family mainly uses Pluto nowadays anyway. Mixed feelings I kind of liked it and didn’t like it together and not together. I guess it matters what I’m trying to do and trying to watch. Anyway, thanks for watching and commenting

You can still find the local channels on the Roku Channel guide. They just moved them all to the "recommended" section of the guide. Took me forever to figure that out.

Wow so CTV 2 Sault Ste Marie still exists. Other CTV stations in different areas of Canada like Sydney shut down the analog channels over a year ago.

Yeah good old CHBX MCTV CTV Northern Ontario still exist on channel 2 here. One of the antenna databases online did say digital channel 13 but that never happened. CHCH channel 38 is gone either because they shut it off or it died and didn't bother fixing it or the UHF repack removed it a couple of years ago channel 38 to 69 gone for LTE and 5G. but I do have some but I do have some older videos of CHCH on my channel. Sorry if I kind of rushed all my channels I want to show people how to fix it I've already had two phone calls about this problem Here's the channels I get 2 CTV CHBX 4.1 NBC 7&4.sometimes 4.2 ABC 29&8.sometimes 4.3 comet.sometimes 6.1 PBS wcmu.sometimes 6.2 PBS Kids.sometimes 6.3 create/world.sometimes 6.4 Michigan learning .dxing 8.1 ABC 29&8 8.2 NBC 7&4 8.3 charge 10.1 CBS 9 and 10 10.2 local 32 Fox 10.3 MeTV 10.4 Laff 10.5 Shopping Channel 10.6 Shopping Channel 10.7 Grit 12.1 global Toronto Was getting a whole bunch of channels on 28.1 to 28.7 but lost them now And 30.1 was showing 9 and 10 Northern Michigan webcams thanks so was 28.3 or 4 Sorry for the long, just thought you might find that interesting More up-to-date local than 10 information check out my Facebook page search for Soo antenna

Thanks just cut the cord a week ago been with Comcast exactly 23 yrs and figured I spend over 27k to watch commercials and a ton of channels i didn't like plus paying $220.00 a month. It was killing me turning on the TV and the channels were in the thousands when I just wanted the 72 local ones my antenna got. I'm like 20 mi south of Detroit.

Nice you must get a lot of Detroit programming like the CBS and PBS affiliates. The same ones I get on cable in my area. Happy to hear you are not having any problems with your Roku TV like other people are having. Right now some of my channels are missing, but my other TVs can pick it up so I have to use a converter box Like I’m supposed to be picking up 12 channels but it’s hiding five of them. I don't use an antenna...i have cable hooked up to the back. I tried using my neighbor's Wi-Fi and didn't like it so I tried to go back to watching TV now I can't find any channels on your home screen and finding channels and I've reset TV and everything I don't know what to do

When I go to live TV and it says push input to scan for channels it won't do anything and yes the coax cable is hooked up with the wall and TV

Does your cable system still support analog or digital cable through the cable cord. if not you need to get a set-top box or see if your cable company has an app. If you want to tell me the name of your cable company I might have a rough idea. If your cable company somehow still supports analog or has free digital channels over the cable cord it could be similar to my situation where you're missing certain channels because of a zip code postal code problem Roku didn't update a while back when I first started having that problem because where I live and I'm picking up channels from a different state it wants to block them out. The only way you can get your antenna or cable to work is by disconnecting the internet Did the cable work before you did the internet Wi-Fi password

Happened to me today 1/13/24. Only problem is I already had it set to hide streaming channels. Always worked and is still set this way. Just doesn't work to separate the 2 sets of channels ( antenna and roku streaming)

Hit and miss with everybody. I called Roku a couple of days ago. I haven’t tried calling them back yet because I’m not feeling the greatest at the moment and barely have a voice but I got disconnected when they called me back. For me, I’m having a similar problem all my other TVs and antenna boxes in the house are getting all my channels the Roku TV for some reason is hiding some of my channels like the TV right next to my Roku tv has 10.1 to 10.7 but the Roku TV is only getting 10.1 10.2 I’m not really sure what’s going on why they keep changing things and they’re messing around with the channel mapping and messing with the TV and tennis stuff. I think this is borderline legal because the tampering with free television. I’m gonna try to make an update video soon

Our tv will show antenna tv channels only when you first check to hide streaming channels. But after you exit live tv it goes back to streaming only showing, even with the hide streaming option still checked🤦🏻‍♂️

Oh that’s weird sounds like your TV is glitched Don’t factory reset it. just reset the TV or turn it on and off if you can’t find that in settings, just unplug it and plug it back in see if that works Or disable fast start When you turn your TV on, do you see the logo for your TV?

@debbiegolden-alvarez9555 this work for some people and it didn’t work for others I noticed. a cable box wouldn’t work for TV antenna stuff you could probably go to Walmart and buy a ATSC converter box. They usually range between $20-$60. But at this point, I would just contact Roku and tell them the issue and tell them multiple people are having this issue. Why would we need to buy a digital box for a digital TV? The main reason why we got new TVs to begin with. Thank you for watching and commenting. Sorry it didn’t work for you.

I know in the state there's some kind of law with being able to watch your local channels for free By antenna. I'm not sure if that's the case in Canada even though I'm from here and live here LOL. Must be a roku issue, i just put up a ota antenna for a older lady and her tv scans 42 channels ,but then it hidden the next time i look for it, crazy.. shame on roku. Also in michigan. Im not going to recommend another roku tv to anybody.

Yeah, I feel kind of the same way right now for Roku until they fix this problem if they fix this problem. Are you able to hide the IP channels to get the antenna channels working? Did you happen to get the channels working or every time you turn on the TV or reset TV they disappear? Might need a converter box temporarily sadly, and didn’t think I’d be saying that nowadays with new TVs I don’t see a person buying a brand new TV unless they use it for antenna only.

But I'm having another problem now basically a zip code error it's locking out channels I should be picking up when I scan it shows I have that many channels but then the TV purposely hides and removes about five channels. @@GROUPGALAXYEntertainment try unplugging the tv for a minute or 2 I’ve had strange problems with mine and I unplugged for a few and it worked I actually called the tv manufacturer and that’s what they said to try. When all else fails unplug they said. It worked

Yep I done this and I called them one time and i got disconnected. my grandparents TV was still getting these channels and then I did an update and they lost all all the same channels. Add same with some clients I have in my area for my Facebook antenna page. @SooAntenna also have the same problems and had to resort to using a antenna box again or different TV.

Interesting and I had to Google where KCK was the third letter messed me up Google told me Kansas City I don't know if this is right Check your settings and see if you can somehow get it back by checking and checking the things I show in the video And go to live TV if that's an option on the main screen I labeled my antenna but I'm pretty sure it's originally called live TV.
