I'm not sure if it's because of how topical it was, but I agree with your score. Compared to the SA2 and Sonic Riders fandubs they did, this feels less cohesive and overall less worth it. Still pretty good, but this is the last of the four they've done I would recommend to someone. Certain moments, like when Amy sizes up Elise, most of what Eggman says, and most of what Omega says, stand out compared to the rest of it.

I think a lot of the “topical” aspect is ok since they even joke about how topical it is. They talk about how fortnite will inevitably fall, for example. That, and the dub predicting the future with Fallout 76 Battle Royale is great. I found this funnier than SA2 hero dub, but not as funny as dark and final story. And riders less funny than all three, despite also being good.

@@ma.2089 Riders is honestly my favorite, although the first 10-15 minutes fall a bit flat. Also, just because they know it's topical doesn't make it not topical, you know? I don't think that changes how that aspect should be experienced.

@@sterlingmuse5808 not really? The whole point is them talking about the nature of trends and how they won’t last anyway. SA1&2 didn’t rely too much on references of the like, but Riders went heavy on it. You can’t tell me the jokes about Adam Sandler, Redbox, Twitter, and Za Warudo are timeless. Cuz they just aren’t. I’m a bit surprised ppl found Riders funnier than 06 personally. I think I had my expectations too high after 06 and SA1&2, so I found Riders comparatively not as funny. Might be cuz Riders leaned hard on their plot and movie references, as well as a lot of it just being each character shit talking each other. In SA1&2 and 06 it didn’t have that undertone.

@@sterlingmuse5808 anyway, just like ppl found the Adam Sandler jokes funny in this (well I assume you did since they happened a lot in Riders), I think 06’s jokes are something that will remain funny. It’s just one of those time capsules since Adam Sandler jokes are extremely old now, but it entirely depends on their execution. And I found the ones in Riders funny, similarly I find the jokes about gaming and gays in 06 funny. Even as someone who never played fortnite lol

I did find this one less funny than the others, it doesn't have the same charm as the SA2 dubs did. What I like about their dubs though is that they come up with a joke and then they keep that story going throughout the whole thing. Like the fortnite joke, the pissing on eggman's wife joke and so many others.

Although I don't agree with your score, I can see why you rated it as such. It is very topical, but I don't believe that it makes the video any worse. All of the fandubs are amazing, and this one is an 8/10 for me. Also, I love Silver, don't understand why everyone hates him so much!

Still don't know why everu fandub needs a unique lore, while SA2 have the lore of Eggman knowing Tails's momma here is about Mephiles living his Battle Royale in order to escape from the Friendzone. The line "It's not as pleasant as you think" really killed me then xD

Best character (that isn't Eggman): Mephalis. The dude oozes with TFS Perfect Cell energy, and I love every second of it Worst Character: Silver. The running joke with him isn't funny at all
