I raised 3 kids working as a cleaning lady. My oldest, Sarah worked her way through school until she finished Emory as a Nurse Researcher, with her PhD. Her whole professional life is focused on getting everyone educated on the use of Narcan, and making it accessible to everyone. She has been working on getting every school teacher, school admin, school custodian armed with Narcan. She is relentless.

Like having more will make a difference. I don't think having more will make losing one ok. They are each precious in their own. You can have 40 & losing one will be devastating. I am really proud of you for being solid after such a tragedy. You are absolutely so allowed to cry your heart out. He is gorgeous & looks like his daddy. Man....that's the greatest shit I think I've ever heard. My son had leukemia but he survived. Barely, but he survived. I did, however, lose his dad...my husband...to a fentanyl overdose right after he was diagnosed...so, I totally get it. (I did also lose 3 babies while pregnant...one far enough along we had a service for her and we had to deliberate about burying or getting her ashes...I apologize, I can't think of the word and I can't bring myself to describe it because we did end up doing that since it was at the beginning of COVID and we didn't have enough for a burial service)....I digress lol, I LOVE what you said about not taking their death as a permission pass to live below what you're used to, to live with integrity still and keep their memory alive and yourself as well. You're an amazing man and I just want you to know how TRULY impressive and life changing that line of thinking is...to hear that come from someone else was just amazing. Merry Christmas (a little late ;) ) and happy fckn new year to you & yours. God Bless ❤

@mightymouse1005 that's the word lol thank you very much. He (JD), really caught me off guard when he said he lost a child just 2 years ago, because he carries himself SO, WELL...and he just wrapped up in one sentence, a way to aspire to be like for the people left here...that I just wanted him to know he wasn't alone by a long shot and how much that one sentence really could and is helping the people who were lucky enough to hear that part. I normally don't go around putting all that out there like that but I very much appreciate what you said, too
