I don’t think Cassie is the big picture. Yes, she was the victim but not many cared to speak up when it was needed; they watched and turned a blind eye. What happened to her shaped the indictment. I believe what brought the indictment “behind closed doors” are the high profile people who were seen on those tapes…judges, lawyers, congressmen, music executives, etc. People will go to extreme lengths to keep their dirt hidden. I’m no fan of Diddy. However, I’m an even bigger opponent of using the justice system to systematically railroad people. If Diddy is guilty of trafficking & the Rico charges he was indicted for, I say take him down. However what people have to understand, especially Black folks, is Diddy has the resources to fight the changes. We the regular people do NOT. When I heard the charges during the press conference, I was thinking that the charges are all based on Cassie’s lawsuit. This is a problem for the prosecutors because Cassie’s case was civilly resolve. The prosecutors have a very weak case because it’s too much evidence that shows participation in the FOs was consensual by all the parties involved. And with that, this is another money grab. That’s the only conclusion as to why Diddy would be brought up on charges that are this weak and based on the experience of one woman. So the other victim(S) better start talking if there’s more to say because this ain’t enough. So far, this case is about draining his pockets.
