Speaking of his daughters, you should watch the documentary "Good Hair" in which Chris Rock chronicles his daughter's own feelings of self-hate over their hair and challenges black women face in society over our hair and trying conform to American standards of beauty. People are biased as hell and have great difficulty being objective. Will Smith is an A-list celebrity that is extremely well liked and that is influencing a lot of people's views. Lester, thank you for writing that. Smith's acceptance speech was as cringe-worthy as his slap over a joke. Smith said something along the lines of "to do what we do you must take abuse." What??? These people get paid millions to pretend they are someone else, and are lauded and idolized for it. Imagine being a scientist searching for the cure to AIDS or cancer crying publicly because they went into a store and encountered a cranky sales clerk. Rediculous. Maybe Smith needs to get a job working on a road crew and have angry motorists toot their horn or give him the middle finger because he told them to stop for one minute. Maybe reality would set in.

@@rebekah1362 The further irony of poor Americans supporting and voting for the elite rich, who know and care nothing about an ordinary life, and make decisions based on nothing but their own self-interest in becoming even more wealthy. The wealth gap grows. We all need heroes, they all left America ages ago, leaving nothing but actors, politicians, and sports figures to fill in the gap. The rot is growing. Americans use their small earnings to escape into a fantasy world, then daydream about becoming a part of it someday. Currently, 57% of Americans earn too little to pay any income tax at all yet are still asked to donate to the very agency that keeps them poor. Will Smith worries about where to vacation, someone taking his picture, or getting his wife upset over her loss of hair while his fellow Americans are worrying about rent, food, and a place to live. Sorry, no pity for the wealthy. Like Will's son said, that's how they roll.

His “ apology “ came with a whole lot of justifications. A whole lot of deflecting. Stop the tears (manipulation)and save them for Chris when you apologize. Take accountability for YOUR actions that At the end of the day no one else is responsible for. You could have had a conversation privately, expressed your feelings …Yess that is still the adult and manly thing to do. Don’t assume that Chris knows anything. You had an opportunity in your speech to make it right. The settled part Diddy refers to is probably Will doing more of the deflecting and Chris just nodding his head. I mean at this point I would steer clear from the toxicity(Will / Jada).

The constitution states that you have the right to free speech so long as it does not insight violence. The thing is Chris Rock violated the civil rights of Jada & that bully taunt provolked Will Smith to perform a constitutionally protected non violent act. As a result the courts won't bother with this case. Except to side with Will Smith. They may say Chris Rock used dem-fightin-words. Diddy should be the last person to talk about any kind of resolution between Will and Chris. He has no moral authority to talk about "we're gonna solve that like family".
