Hi, where would you recommend buying a budget didgeridoo in the UK? Also have you heard of 'monkeywood' for didgeridoos and if so is it any good (I've seen one on ebay)? I currently have a bamboo didge that was £10 and I can play it, circular breath and few basic sounds/rhythms, but when I try anything more advanced I fail. I don't want to blame the instrument since I am not an experienced player but since the didge is cheap, old (had it about 8 years and most of that had been spent in a cupboard) and not the best type of didgeridoo I can't help think that the instrument is influencing my ability to learn these new skills.

Hello Hannah, I did not find a didgeridoo on Ebay with this name but in any case, I would not recommend buying a didgeridoo on Ebay. Then, you have to ask yourself the question of the budget. The price of didgeridoos can go from 20€ to more than 1500€ (sorry I speak in euro!). I made a whole file on Wakademy to help you understand better (the videos are subtitled in English with mistakes but it should help you anyway! www.wakademy.online/en/the-complete-guide-to-help-you-choose-your-didgeridoo/ And if you want to buy a didgeridoo, I don't know of any shop in the UK but I highly recommend didgeridoo passion, it's a friend and passionate and has good instruments! www.didgeridoo-passion.com/en I hope this helps!

the toning on the didge will be important if a didge is easy to play or not!
@WakademyDidgeridooSchool4 жыл бұрын
True ! But most of the didgeridoo you can find, even more in bamboo or PVC, are between C and E. Those notes are totally fine to start with. But I will speak in a video about this, you right !

i will say, for a beginner i will say a octave interval! is easy to play easy toot transition!
@WakademyDidgeridooSchool4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jamm for this ideas, I think toot are not the priority for beginners. And also to have an octave interval need to buy a didge form a didg-crafter and can be quickly expansive for a beginners. :-)

Is Meinl a good bamboo brand?
@WakademyDidgeridooSchool3 жыл бұрын
Hi Claire, unfortunately Meinl craft some industrial bamboo didgeridoo. Where do you live? I can maybe recommend one crafter from the part of the world you live. If not, I recommend Bamboo didgeridoo from David Defois in France (just to be transparent, I don't any money from this link or recommandation) : www.kanarchoad.com/en/instruments/bamboo/

Thanks for your video. Could you please privately send me some recommendations where to buy good ones less than 80€?
@WakademyDidgeridooSchool3 жыл бұрын
Hi Pedro! I wrote a post on my blog about that, you can find it here : gauthieraube.com/en/what-didgeridoo-must-one-start-with/ I hope it will help you to find the didgeridoo you want. I really recommend at the beginning to don't put too much. It's good to try, and after that, if you like it, you can put more. Hope it helps!
