Just started playing, few flying hours, so proud your vid helped me succeed this wobbly business few times right away. (Not as confident, but never the less I got it) Thank you so!

Thanks David. I really appreciate your responsiveness to the questions of both your students and the Didgeridoo Learning Community. I was going to ask you if a didgeridoo warmed up as it was played but now I don't need to! Jennifer

Well, I used to be more responsive. 😂.I'm a bit slower now. 5 years! Glad to help, though.

Hey this was really helpful. I understood the bounce breath and what it is but I'm still so confused about what the wobble really is and how to identify it and do it. 😜 so I'm hoping for more of your videos on the wobble.
@Breathwood Жыл бұрын
You know what? No one seems to know exactly what the wobble is. For as many people as there are who do it and teach it, there are that many definitions.

Thanks for the great vids! I got a question about backpressure, PVC tubes are not so apt because they don't have much backpressure? and the best are euka didges?
@Breathwood4 жыл бұрын
You're so welcome! As for your question, it's not just a matter of the material (wood vs. plastic) but of interiror shape. Eukalyptus didges generally have lots of backpressure because they are termite-hollowed which means they are filled with all kinds of internal grooves. This creates more resistance then a smooth pipe. But you could have a PVC tube with ridges inside and that would lead to increased backpressure vs. a wooden didgeridoo with no ridges at all. Make sense?

Hi, when I'm doing bounce breath. I'm inhaling too much and after while I'm full of oxygen and I need to stop playing and exhale. Any advice for this please?
@Breathwood Жыл бұрын
Ah, that's a tricky one! It's possible to release air while circular breathing, which is a skill not many people talk about. But really, the goal is to begin taking smaller and smaller breaths in as you play. If you trust your body to figure out just how much air to take in, eventually it will figure it out. Another option: breathe less often.
@Rob_2 Жыл бұрын
@@Breathwood oh, I forgot about this question 😁 But I already figure it out as you said :) Thank you anyway and have a nice one 😍

I can do it exhale through the mouth and make sound. But when I inhale through the nose like you say didg stops sounding! How can I make it sound on inhale?
@Breathwood6 жыл бұрын
I think you're talking about ciricular breathing. Perhaps check out some of my videos here: breathwood.com/learn/videos/circularbreathing
@Breathwood Жыл бұрын
The only answer I have for you is kind of lame: practice! It can take some time to keep making sound just using the air pressure in your mouth, but that's the key. We have to practice "catching" air in the mouth and then squeezing it through our lips to keep them vibrating.

Im curious how did you started to play on didg. Is there any video about your start with didgeridoo?
@Breathwood Жыл бұрын
Ooh, good question. Sorry it took me so long to answer. I was really curious about it for a long time, but I thought it would be too hard to learn to circular breathe. When I finally decided to learn, I took one private lesson with a didgeridoo master living here in Vancouver, and I got it after 24 hours of trying! It kind of just clicked! From there I just kept playing...
