I've been 'droning' for too long and not doing much more due to lack of encouragement. I really like your approach, please keep it going...

Great video thank you. This is probably strange but I always find it amusing that after playing a few minutes and then pulling it away from the mouth you can feel all that hot breath coming out lol.

This was perfect! Thank you so much! I have been on a good drone, multiple sounds rich and full for about a year but have not played much lately. This was exactly what I needed. I can circular breathe sometimes but have been stuck on well now what to improve. I am a homeschool mom in Alaska and have been considering teaching a didg class but want more experience under my belt to get the kids going and having fun!

I'm so glad to hear that this was helpful to you! One student of mine in particular has been asking for this kind of video for a while now, and I think she was right - we need more content about what to do after the drone starts working! I'll be doing more on this topic....

I noticed with playing the jaw harp and throat singing it's the same vowel sounds to make the cool sounds they make

Thanks for all your videos. I am a slightly advanced beginner. I have one question that may not interest others, but It has some implications for my health & for circular breathing. Here it goes: During a "normal" day to day breathe, I usually inhale approx 4 seconds & exhale for 4 seconds. That's is thankfully slower that many folks due to my yoga training. My main point is that inhales & exhales are approx equal. However, while playing the didge, including during most forms of circular breathing, this in & out ratio is often very different. I have been told that while playing one usually breathes out for a fairly long time & then one takes only a tiny sniff in (while continuing the drone). So instead of a 4 to 4 ratio, one might exhale to the count of 6----depending on the rhythm----and then sniff in for just one count. Does this sound right to you? One final note: On your website you mentioned that you might work on putting your lessons in order. I would greatly appreciate that. You are a great didge player & teacher. Keep up the good work!!!

Im about a week into this, drone seems to ok and Im starting to get a grip on a circular breathing... Got a small question - for some reason I can't get the drone by using the center of my lips, but seems ok when I place it to the side. Is this an issue, should I even try to get over, or is it ok to just stick to the side of the mouth and that's it? :) Thank you, great videos! :)

Thank you this is awesome! I find that I have a better sound and better vowel sound when I place the didge on the side of my lips. I don't want to build bad habits... Is is ok to place the to the side or should I strive to place it right at the front?

Hey! So I've got the circular breathing down. I can do it about.. ohh once or twice. But then it starts to catch up with me because my breathing-in doesn't take enough air. Maybe my cheeks aren't large enough to hold enough air? At that point I can't get enough air in my cheeks to produce a vibration that makes noise. Yikes. Any tips? Also, love the videos!!!

Are you breathing often? Most players end up breathing every few counts or so.
