It's never too late to start!!! I'm a professional cellist and I can assure you that no matter how old you are, if you pick up an instrument and play just one hour every day, in a few years you'll be able to play much better than you'd expect! Now, obviously, it won't be enough to let you go pro, unless you're very serious about it, as learning gets much more difficult with age... But with patience and determination you can definitely do it too!
