I've been wanting to go back to the piano for years. Was the stereotypical asian kid, forced to play when I was young, ended up giving up because child me only wanted to run around the playground. Now I'm in my 30s and I've always regretted not sticking with it.

@@diablolrm90 I always wanted to play as a child from around 5 years of age. I started guitar at around 23 then a few years later my girlfriend wanted a keyboard which I got for her. I tried it and liked it so started piano lessons. I didn't get very far at 30 but 18 months ago I got the Chordify app and a few weeks ago I restarted piano lessons with the same tutor. I'm 54 now but I play every day and I am getting reasonable at it but most importantly I'm enjoying playing more now than ever before. I play every day both piano and guitar, and I'm also learning the violin. I made this video 18 months ago, lots of mistakes but hey, it pleases me. @@peterbreis5407 I've got roughly 5,000 hours worth of experience playing piano (2 hours per day every day from age 12-19) and it's perfectly possible to do it. Many pianists can memorise most of their pieces entirely off by heart with enough practice. I personally play all of my music from memory as I simply prefer it to sheet music. What I find incredible are the pianists who can sit down and play extremely complex pieces first time by reading sheet paper or musicians, guitarists are especially fascinating, who can listen to a song once for the first time and play it back exact. Crazy stuff.

That’s cause it’s not impossible it’s impractical, two totally different problems, and I’m fairly sure the guy that said it was impossible only said that because he doesn’t have the skill to do it, and as I said it’s an impractical to try to play it, thus most people don’t play it even if they do have the skills. I've always wanted to learn but thought I was to old. You are never to old to learn something new. My older grandson heard me say I was coming home from piano lessons and now the is starting to learn piano. The way that you and others play is why I wanted to learn. Music brings me such joy.

What makes a musician good is if they are able to take a moment of your time, and give you something in return, not to show off or gratify their own self importance, but to tell a story. With passion they convey emotion, and in that moment you feel as they feel, and without a single articulation you realize they understand you. Even if there are mistakes here and there, it doesn't matter so much, because of where they took you... away from here. felicisimo, bravo, grazie.

Actually, what he meant is, that the internationally recognized tone for a tuned piano is 440 herz, while his piano is set at 432 herz Wich was the international standard before 1955. So, unless you are tuning your piano to 432 herz, it will NOT sound as the original, for it is not even a half-tone difference.
