As a kid I would experience ASMR all the time but had no idea what it was. I think the first time was when I would get lice checks and they would run the little straw through my hair, another one I would get was when my grandpa would speak, along with people with certain accents (specifically Indian and some British accents). One that I don’t understand is when someone intelligent or particularly knowledgeable on a specific topic talks about that topic. I only discovered what it was a couple years ago after seeing an unintentional ASMR video about space and looked it up, finally discovering what it was and that I had experienced it for years. The first six months after discovering it I would tingle every video I watched, then sadly i got harder and harder to tingle to the point I rarely get it now, only a few ASMRtists can trigger it (Dido, Rebecca, Fred), and its only for a couple seconds. I attended live ASMR in San Francisco and it was mind blowing, having someone do it personally for an hour and a half was amazing, I’ve never felt more relaxed. I encourage you to try it if you can, even if it’s just by someone you know.

I used to experience asmr and then I developed misophonia. It's weird because I don't like the "tingles" but I only got them when someone whispered into my ear. I hated this so much that I covered my ears with my hands so no one would whisper something to me. My first misophonia trigger was eating but nowadays it's anything that has to do with saliva, any disgusting sounds and chewing (interestingly, biting into food like apple or eating chips like snacks doesn't trigger me). The only time I actually experience asmr (not counting when I randomly get it) is with ear eating videos. Those videos are my 2nd biggest misophonia trigger.

Idk how it is for other people, but sometimes I will become tingle immune for a day or two, sometimes I’m super sensitive to tingles, and sometimes I will only get some tingles for something that usually gives me a lot of tingles. Anyone else?

10:40 i always experience during eye tests and the dentist, save for when i get poked in the gum and it hurts😭 edit: oh and in lice checks too, a key memory was when i had headlice at 11 years old - and i sat in the park whilst my mum searched through my hair, it was so relaxing

When will a next live ASMR for everybody be out every single one I see from you is members only and members have to pay money to watch one single video

Too much saliva noises in the intro. I don’t know why Dido insists on using the most annoyingly juicy saliva sounds possible as his intro. May as well spit right into our ears!
