Die-Cast Playability Mini GT Vs Hot Wheels Roll Test Lamborghini Edition Premium Diecast 1/64 Scale

It's one thing to have a collection of Die Cast Model Cars sitting pretty on shelf or in a box, but it is something else if you can actually play with your diecast collectibles. You want to be confident that they are not going to fall apart in your hands and they are going to be able to be rolled when you want to roll them.
In this video we do just that, we go head-to-head Mini GT versus Hot Wheels, using five Lamborghinis, three Huracans and two Aventadors. We check out each casting and we compare and contrast their playability by conducting a roll test along our neoprene car park desk mat.

Thanks for the feedback you are spot on. The premium models are definitely more of a collectors item than a toy - couldn’t agree more. Having said that I do like to push my premium models around the table - perhaps not throwing them across the room (I did have a few collisions here). There’s nothing worse when a wheel won’t rotate properly - I’ve got that issue on one of my trucks, now it is a display piece.

I still play with my premiums and put them on the track, even if it's just a straight drag race, because it's fun. It's definitely not going to hurt or damage the cars.

Thank you so much for this comparison! Even thought premium die-cast cars may not be made to play with, I feel that it is a subject that is hard to find any info on. I searched for probably about 40 minutes and couldn't find any comparison video such as this one. Overall a very good video, paying attention to all the details, well done!

Depends what country you are in generally hot wheels premium range from $10-$15 sometimes up to $20 where Mini GT is about $12 - $18

It was a Gallardo in the 2016 Forza set. They then used a very similar livery in the 21/22 Forza set for the Huracan. This is from the later set and is a Huracan. 🙂

@@Premium-Die-Castsimilar but not the same. The huracan has no spoiler, a green bonet, white on the back and the wheels are chrome, and the forza emble on top of the car. This is a gallardo. You can notice it by the headlights,tailights and small spoiler on the back.

Thanks for the insight and it’s a good point you bring up. A large part of what determines good playability is the tire selection - a lot like the performance of a race car. The brands who haven’t considered decent tire choice will always fall behind.
