Love mini gts just cause most of my collection is of them. What manufacturer made those 1:18 display cases you have in the background? That the nsx is in, with a mirrored rear and leds inside

For me personally, non-rolling models are deal breakers. So I'd choose Mini GT version.

Although I'm happy with my Ignition GTR; this brand is way overpriced for less details than an Inno64. Other models for $35+ have separate wiper blades, sheet windows, more paint apps and photoetch parts. Great comparison; you saved me money.

This is the only ignition model that i feel lacking so much, especially compared to its cheaper rival Mini GT. The stance on Mini GT could be easily solve by using an aftermarket wheels. The paint finishing quality of IG Model is superb as always.

Mini gt for me for playing but if you're true collectors that do not need playing function such as free rolling wheels you can also choose ignition model as for display only

I like both models, they both are great models at their price points. The Ignition Model has some great details, but the price is why I would pass on it. I can buy 2 to 4 MINI GT models for the price of 1 Ignition Model.

Completely agree. The only time it does become viable is either you're brand loyal or IG is the only one that offers certain styles that jive with your tastes which MINIGT does not.

I think the reason that the MINI GT models sold by MIJO here in the US come in a plastic clamshell is it makes it harder for thieves to steal them b/c sadly that's a thing that happens a lot in US stores. I see it for myself and hear from friends about 1/64 scale model packages that are found empty on store selves at least a once a week if not more.

They are both pretty close in my opinion. However the Ignition does seem to be slightly more "bulky"

They're both pretty darn accurate. However, there are slight differences in size between the two as well. Not noticeable though.

Some do, some don't. Static display is a thing when it comes to collectables. For example, superhero figures. When it comes to collectables they don't rotate, pivot, full range of motion, etc.

Allan, First and foremost, welcome to the world of collector grade! I'd recommend a make and model that you are familiar with. The brand carries an array of imports and domestics and euros now so there is a wide selection. I've got a few on my website that might be great starters as well. The Ignition seems larger for this cast for some reason. MINIGT is close to true 64. But when you look at other makes and models for IG, they are true too.

Moving wheels is deal breaker for people need to do stop motion animations, video contents and stuff like that or simply play with. Anyway, they have good and weak points together, so they are not perfect but still beautiful models. The only thing i like more of Ignition is the acrylic case.

Minigt has defrost lines at back window, this is making it more realistic car... İ love m.gt details pretty much better , but ig has display case, so my favorite combine is ig case+m.gt model car... :)

The base in person actually looks really professional. The base serves the purpose of securing the model car and gives the model car an acrylic case. Both of which MINIGT does not have. 😀

Mini GT is way better. Ignition Model has more detail but they skipped many detailed parts and decals. Price tag between them is almost double and Ignition doesnt deserve that with this detail level. Mini GT is winner for me as always:)

I have an ignition model 86, but very unlikely will buy another ignition model because the price is so high compared to Mini GT even though the details sometimes better. Mini GT is also Diecast vs resin on Ignition... feels “worth” more in the hand when a model is heavier 😂 (but that’s just in the mind)

This is not a good comparison and I'm very surprised how well mini gt did in the comparison mini gt are selling for as low as 9.99 I wish I could get $15 witch is the correct retail but ebay sellers are selling these cars extremely competitively where the ignition model average price is $37 to $95 for the last 2000 gtr that I purchased in fact on a average they are probably closer to $50 that's 5 cars for the price of one of course ignition is going to look better if they didn't they would be out of business this is the biggest question why were the gt2000's and the datsun 240's and some of the newer models at $85 to $95 I love the bre gtr but that also is at the new $85 dollar range can someone tell me what is going on
