Ehemalige Airbus-Mitarbeiter haben in Bremen jahrelang gearbeitet, um eine Focke-Wulf Fw 200 Condor zu restaurieren. Jetzt ist sie fertig. NORD|ERLESEN und die NORDSEE-ZEITUNG wünschen der Condor eine gute Reise ins Technikmuseum in Berlin.

Very incredible work for rebuild this consider how hard to fix one by one piece, like mission impossible but they have done their work

Hier in Brasilien flogen drei, bis 1939. Auf der Strecke Rio-São Paulo, in nur einer Stunde. Eine F-W 58, Weihe steht in einem Museum in Rio.

It's a beautiful job, working with minimal information. She looks great. But I'm still curious as to why you would try to lift her with only two supports. Usually aircraft that large and that old underwater have a span wise beam, with several lift points to support the length. I was not surprised to see the tail snapped off at the rear spar, that was a known defect.

will the engines run. and will thw interia be complete .what colors will be aplied .will it fly. manny questions. that i really would like to know thw answers on.

This Aircraft doesn't have any Fueltanks! So the Engines will never run again and the Plane will never be able for a Flight. It's only a restored historical Aircraft for the Museum! That's all!

Excellent work! I've always like the Condor, ever since I built the Revell 1/72 kit as a kid. It would have made a wonderful airliner for Lufthansa (with the possibility of sales elsewhere as well) had the war not overtaken it. It's brief fate as a convoy raider was unfortunate - it was never designed for this - and was illustrative of the short-sightedness of the RLM and the OKW's insistence that the Luftwaffe should only be a tactical support air force for the army with no strategic bombing capacity. Such a pity that Kurt Tank's genius was reduced to working for Argentina and India after the war. He could have done so much more. It appears that the original aircraft remains were used as a template to mostly re-fabricate a new Condor. I understand this is currently a static exhibit at Tempelof but has any thought been given to developing it to flying condition? Would that be totally impractical? In any event this is a remarkable recreation of an historic aircraft. I hope to see it some day.

was ist so schwer daran es wieder zu fliegen?

Die Struktur hat nicht die notwendige Festigkeit mehr. Zudem dürfte die Zulassung des Typs erloschen sein. Also man müsste das ganze Zulassungsverfahren bei Null beginnend durchziehen...

@@volkerleiste6191Da stimme ich absolut zu! Man müsste wohl anhand dieser restaurierten Maschine neue Pläne machen und diese dann auch durchrechnen, ein komplettes neues Flugzeug bauen und durch sämtliche Zulassungsverfahren führen um es schlussendlich in einen flugfähigen Zustand versetzen zu können! Die Lufthansa Berlin Stiftung hatte ja zum Beispiel versucht eine alte SuperStar (das letzte Modell der Super Constellation) wieder in einen flugfähigen Zustand zu versetzen! Das ist letztlich an den immensen Kosten gescheitert!

Wäre schön, wenn man die Maschine in Berlin mit der richtigen Lackierung versieht. Das war ein Fernaufklärer und so sollte er auch präsentiert werden. Es müssten dann allerdings noch einige Arbeiten ausgeführt werden.

Wie dem auch immer sei, fliegen wird die Condor allerdings nie wieder! Der Aufwand wäre gleichbedeutend mit Neukonstruktion und separaten Neubau. Das hier ist und bleibt ein Museum-Stück!
