I'm from Sweden but I travel to Germany now and then and I rmember having heard Toten Hosen (Hier kommt Alex) just before going to Berlin one time. I asked my colleague if she liked them, and, she went quiet for some time, her eyes got misty, and then she said in a faraway voice "I can't remember a week in my life when I did not listen to them at least once." And then she smiled and said "It's the soundtrack of my life" (which was a nice allusion to a Swedish band). Basically, Tage wie dise is the ultimate feelgood song, the ultimate arena rock song, the ultimate 'be in the moment and enjoy it' song, and, the ultimate 'sweet memories and nostalgia' song. It's the ultimate song.

Also, da muss ich mal rein hauen. Die Jungs waren schon in den 90ern dafür bekannt mit gewissen Damen in Stretch-Limousinen unterwegs gewesen zu sein, leben im Medienhafen und sind absolut käuflich. Authentisch nein, hörbar okay, man muss aber ausblenden wie sie wirklich sind. Gilt aber auch für DÄ, die mich in der Tat in letzter Zeit, also nach und bei dem Auftritt in der Tagesschau positiv überrascht haben, indem sie einfach nicht gesagt haben was man von ihnen hören wollte. Schweigen kann auch Gold sein.

Over here in Germany, it has become the anthem of any special occasion there is. The Hosen are the godfathers of punk rock in Germany. They have been making the republic unsafe since 1982. There were only a few changes in the band line-up. For a long time they always had respectable successes, but did not make it into the mainstream. When the manager pushed again in 1996 to write something more radio-ready, singer Campino accused him of not understanding what their music was about. He would now write a number one hit and then he should shut up. It arose Die Toten Hosen // „Zehn kleine Jägermeister“ [Offizielles Musikvideo] and indeed they landed their first number one hit with it. Since then they've been mainstream and still do what they want. But only with "Tage wie diese" could they repeat the success. They are now approaching retirement age and their anger has subsided. You ask for the festival in colour: Its called "Holi Festival" Its started most in spring to say the winter goodbye and say hello spring. We are here. This comes from the Land India. The special for the festival is, some of thousands people going to party and throw "Colour Powder" to the sky and thats why you see the people in some different colour.
