The cars failing to negotiate that "corner" are short, and likely also light (certainly were in the first set of races). Heavier longer cars succeed up to a point, then they're too long/too heavy. Unscientific observations . . . You can see the very long and heavy B&B charging out ahead, and the light Stitchafy failing dismally. The shortest cars have problems with spinning out.

Anyone point me in the direction of where to buy the track that Races & Fun uses? I like the long straights, as Hot Wheel Track Builder only has 12” pieces and you need loads of connectors
