Hey man, just purchased two 150-scale Norscot CAT wheel loaders. Very pleased with them. The white-colored n the standard CAT color. I noticed the white one seems kinda extra loose at the joint where it articulates. When I pick it up I can feel the extra looseness, just alittle afraid it might gradually come apart. Any way that can be tightened alittle?? Just wondering. Im sure its alright like that, but just wanna be sure. Thanks again for ur vids...TRUE INSPIRATION. You got me hooked, brother. Embarking on getting that CAT 797 150-scale next!

@@DiecastEmporium well it should be ok, just as long as I don't handle it too much. Basically its probably not as loose to the point where it can come apart. Just so amazing to me, tbh, hard to put that thing down!

@@DiecastEmporium I also been looking at the CAT 994K with the big coal bucket, as well as the Latournaeu Wheel Loader...that one is quite more expensive than the others. I think that one is made by a different company. But definitely want one to grace my display shelf!

I was a plant operator in the Royal Engineers years ago. We were using some CAT machines in a quarry in KOSOVO. Between a handful of us we were providing stone for the whole of NATO forces and some civilian projects too. We managed to brake a component to a CAT machine that had never broke before. CAT sent a representative to Kosovo to look at it 🤣

Hi Diecast, did your model and tin box come in an outer polystyrene frame and if so were the two halves sealed with sellotape around the middle?.

@@Trollberg60north Not making excuses, but theres a chance it was opened to ensure there was not any broken or missing pieces. It isn't uncommon to have random quality control checks.

I believe both of those models from CCM are discontinued. So you'll have to buy from another collector. CCM is far out of my price range, and I don't like the smaller 1:48 scale. Good luck finding one!

I have some questions: 1. Why are the sides of the dumpbed, including the logo, different from the actual in the picture on the tin? 2. Why are the wheel chalks mounted differently compared from the actual? Why are there lights on the bumper when the actual doesn't?

1) The picture depicts a different body than the one chosen for the die cast model. 2) Customers will move the wheel chocks to whatever location they determine works best for them. The lights were located in the bumper on earlier versions of the 797F but were permanently moved on top of the bumper ~2015.

Man these ads are killing me in these videos. Im probably not going to buy this one now that Bob can't be removed. I think ill go with the new Komatsu mining truck thats coming out instead. If they come out with a white version with no Bob ill buy one.

The quality is hit and miss with this model. I received my 797F yesterday and it looks like I got a lemon :( The rockbars are attached squint at an angle and stick against the tyres, the dump bed doesn't sit 100% level(sags on left), one of the rear tyres can turn freely on the wheel hub and both engine covers were sticking open when I took it out of the box. And then there's Bob........ I regret buying it tbh and may call it a day with collecting.

The payload monitor displays the amount of material in tons as measured by the machine payload management system. Another option are red/green lights that notify the shovel operator when to stop loading.

It's a shame the built quality is so poor on the new 797F. Many of the models have wonky dump beds that lean down on the front right hand side. The rock bars are very poorly designed/built and don't even align between the rear tyres with the result they rub against the outer tyres. The plastic square section in the dump bed doesn't lie flat on many models. The paint thickness particularly on some of the front parts is so bad it's like a nursery child did it. If I could get my money back I would.
